Trump just agreed to debate Harris on September 10.

So back then they wanted the citizens to be able to vote on as many policies as logistically possible? When was the first time they won an election? Why didn't they implement that?
Sort of. They didn’t want women or blacks voting of course, that’d just be silly.
Rather, they wanted to expand it to all white men, rather than land owners
They first won in 1829 with Jackson, and I believe got the amendment to allow that suffrage passed pretty soon afterwards.

But it would be the republicans who took up universal suffrage much later down the line.

Edit: I’m retarded, there wasn’t an amendment to change those restrictions, it was state level changes that happened under Jackson

I have one, who fell for the "weird" and latched onto something Vance may or may not have said (don't know, don't really care to wade through the politicized nonsense search engines to research it) about people who don't have children not having a vote.

He never said that. He pointed out how so many people in government telling people what to do and want to control the future of the USA don't actually have a biological stake in it as they either didn't have any children or weren't the biological parents. He also called them out for destroying the family. And he called them "Childless cat-ladies".

It's a state that is geographically quite large and has a few densely-populated cities. So small counties for urban areas with lots of people vote Democrat and the hinterlands all vote Republican.

It's not like other states which are almost entirely blue or red.
What you just described is actually most states in America. Only outliers like Hawaii or Massachusetts, which are small and densely populated, are solid blue.

Shitlibs love to lie by omission.

So they just wanted a somewhat more democratic oligarchy, like the USA has now (apart from the women and blacks part), not an actual democracy?

Reactions: Zaryiu2 and draggs

How does what I describe not apply to Minnesota, though? I'm more than happy to go into the Guinness Book of Fucking Retards, but I think what I posted answers the question.

It does, I'm just saying Minnesota isn't unique in that regard. Minnesota is unusual in that over half the state is crammed in the Minneapolis area, and they have the unholy mix of Scandinavians and Somalians.

Well, the optics of her telling protesters at her own rally to "shut up or let Trump win" are not great, and that's putting it mildly. She might have seriously torpedo'd her chances at winning Michigan with that "girl boss" and "brat" shit. lol.

My schizo friends who never stop posting about gaza, have started posting anti kamala content.

I see. I apologize for thinking you were criticizing me.

I know a few corn-fed Scandinavian Minnesotans and they are all pro-Trump. My sample size is small, though.

If by actual democracy you mean like a Greek style one, correct, they didn’t want that.
They did want a more Democratic republic though, instead of a more elitist republic like other parties wanted. One where anyone (who was a white guy) could vote for their president and representative.

It wouldn’t be accurate to characterize any major party at the time as advocating for oligarchy, it was just different flavors of republics.

Lmao I was not expecting that troon to have a deep and booming bass.

Trump kept his powder dry and now he is coming out extremely high energy when Kumala is showing some cracks despite almost 3 weeks of nonstop ass-laving (IMAGINE THE SMELL) by the media. Debooting Kumala confirmed, savage press conference, we are so back (again)

Because liberal democracies are actually pretty good and can function well if you're 95% high trust white, but the moment you add brown to the mix it quickly breaks down
i m gonna split hair with you on this.

Japan very high trust, and in some ways i enjoyed living there.

China....they will fucking steal your dog

Vietnam....they will fucking eat your dog.

I would argue race is less important than group cohesion.

African niggers dont view themselves as black but as member of what every trip or family clan. Combine this with their retardation and put them in a land of gibs....yeah your gonna have trouble
