For me, I'm not just beyond cross, my blood is constantly boiling from all of this, there are no words to describe my anger. We went from one of the loveliest, purest, most high-trust societies in all of history to this, every society has its issues, but the British one of yore was close to perfect and you can still see in sometimes in rural areas, but it's still a shadow of its former self. There is no damnation or condemnation great enough for the people who have destroyed that.

Everybody, and I do mean everybody, should familiarize themselves with using tools like yt-dlp. Yes, those github pages are a little intimidating because that's just how code autists roll. Don't let it scare you, because it's an extremely lightweight program and the documentation is excellent.

I'm not good with tech so I use yt-dlp through Stacher, its UI is very user-friendly and foolproof so it's a nice alternative for those who are overwhelmed by the Github.

I have vague memories of someone getting jailed for burning a Koran or something like that and getting tossed into a prison full of muslims where he promptly got murdered.

You're likely thinking of Keven Crehan who left some slices of bacon on the door handle of a mosque. This poor benighted sod.


He was given a year in prison making that possibly the most costly strip of bacon in the history of mankind. He was pronounced dead about six months into the sentence and for a while there was no reason given, just weird and vague statements about "failings" having occurred. The eventual cause of death was given as an overdose of morphine and diazepam. (somehow). But common speculation was that he was killed in prison by Islamists. I don't know if that was the case. I just know that IF it was the case, they'd probably move Heaven and Earth to disguise it as something else. There was something very dubious going on there. I mean aside from taking a year of someone's life away for putting bacon there.

I mean I'm vegetarian. I wouldn't want someone to leave bacon on my door handle to mock my beliefs. But I certainly wouldn't want someone going to prison for it.

I saw it from my kitchen window and the media hasn't reported on it and there wasn't any cameras pointed at it.
