However, that’s going to require developing and articulating a plan that addresses the issues people have and it has to be good enough for people to believe in or willing to give it a shot. Calling people names is not a plan. Getting shot at is not a plan. Getting angry is not a plan.

There’s always going to be a core block of voters who are down with you no matter what. So they have to have a way to flip them if you want a huge blowout like what they fantasize about getting. But they have no ideas and are the right mix of dumb and lazy to try.
