I strongly believe 'nuclear winter' is vastly overrated. I remember Carl Sagan saying if Iraq set the oil fields on fire it would screw up the weather and then it didn't happen and the whole thing kind of dropped.

That's how it always is. Gen X'er here, grew up in the 70s and 80s. I spent most of my childhood terrified of quicksand and we all see how that panned out. I notice it's a thing with Gen X'ers. Must have been all the quicksand in the movies in the 80s. Between Krull, Beastmaster, the Princess Bride, and the Neverending Story, I'm still shook.

I agree, and it's frusterating, but the alternatives are slim to none. It's either extremely leftist news sites or conservative ones, basically just Fox News and the New York Post. I have been thinking about it recently, but there are basically no news blogs I'm aware of that are in favor of conservatives, so I will take the necessary evil of X until the election is over, but I truly wish we had more websites and forums with current info.
