Agree with your sentiment, but blocking off streets with bodies is inviting trucks of peace, plus it affects ton of everyday people that may even agree with the protests, but they’re still an hour or late for work.

Plus it hinders ambulance response times and other emergency vehicles, and again inconveniencing the general public in a serious way is not the way to get sentiment on your side.
Maybe people felt differently about it in Canada though, Americans were not about it during the Summer of Mostly Peaceful Love.

What made the government shit themselves with the Brexit protests was that the type of guy who drives a white van started attending them. People who aren’t political, earn good money, own their own house, and can have two holidays a year. The people who live better than the actual middle class but just have rougher accents and work with their hands.

That’s when they shit themselves and Guardian readers were practically demanding live rounds be used on completely peaceful, and I literally mean peaceful, protests.

Once the regular guy has woken up they know the game is over.

Moving somewhere else wouldn't work for any of these people. That's their home. They should be able to stay there safe and they should have their needs met. The elite of a shit load of nations in current year see themselves as international elite rather than national leaders. They believe it will benefit their line go up if you can plug and play workers to ensure there's always someone on hand who will take shit wages and always somewhere to get resources. You'd run into many of the same problems. Some areas in the US still have decent local policies and communities because of our size but this shit is everywhere really. It's only places that don't have industries that benefit from what are basically foreign scabs that aren't getting overrun. And again, it's mainly working class that are getting squeezed and don't have the resources to move that some other people would.

Additionally, they do not want whites to have a racial consciousness or vote for their own interests because if they did whites would predictably be the ones who have a say in white majority western nations. Similarly for being Christian. If you advocate for you own interests based on those things you're predictably going to be a particular sort of massive voting block. Lots of people don't want that.

Won't PL, but I recently talked to someone I know in another first-world country that was in tears because they are relocating their division to some shithole country, and they have no idea what to do. They can't relocate to said shithole country, they have a family, and it wouldn't be safe to raise their children in that shithole country, but they can't find another job in the middle of this recession either. They're doing cost-cutting measures, and it's easier to have that entire division of the company in a shithole country and tell them they could move and take the pay cut and keep their job, but otherwise, pound sand. Multinational corporations do not care about people, we are just plug-and-play objects that have to be ever-efficient, and even when we are, we'll be phased out because someone else will be cheaper somewhere else.

There are ways this could be reversed, but the country would have to become authoritarian (it already is but with different goals) for a couple of decades to reverse the damage, and on the international stage it would look terrible and make GB essentially the new "Russia". The complete dismantling of the democractic illusion and parliament would probably also be beneficial at this point. Charles is a cuck, but monarchical nations tend not to stir the pot too much because they have a vested interest in their country, they could cause an uprising if they misbehave and even if they quash it, their offspring will inherit a nation in which the people hate them. Beats having some bought and paid for politician who loads their pockets for a few years and then fucks off into the sunset to get a cozy job at the WEF or w.e.
