Ukrainian Defensive War against the Russian Invasion - Mark IV: The Partitioning of Discussion

We cannot forget that for many years Sudzha was the capital of the Ukrainian SSR. As consequence Kursk Oblast falls within the strategic sphere of Ukraine. The world needs to come to terms with this historical and political reality.
I saw somewhere where some the older people (maybe here) were able to speak Ukrainian with their liberators. Kursk was within the borders of the Ukrainian People's Republic and Cossack Hetmanate. Ukraine's borders should really be much larger. This 100,000 kilometres should be a start.

Judging by these school boys sent to supplement the Tiktokers, Putin won't be compelling the Ukrainians to return to their borders too soon.

the freshfaced volunteers
Those are literally 18 year old conscripts on their 2 year national service. Putin swore to high heaven he would never use these troops. Since they are essentially teenagers in a government run summer camp. Considering they are up against the men who fought in Bakhmut, this is akin to taking a Highschool Reserve Officer Corps unit into battle against a Ranger Battalion. Smartest thing those boys did was immediately surrender.

The more I think about it, the Ukrainians seemed to have adopted Byzantine Emperor Heraclius's tactic of gathering whatever remaining resources and personnel you have and conducting a suicidal storming deep into enemy territory.
That explains the helicopter taking out all those Russian vehicles. He was ensuring they didn’t fall into the hands of the enemy.
If anyone wasn't already convinced that they're making shit up as they go, they should be now. There's no 4D chess, they struggle to keep up with Ukraine, let alone play many moves ahead.
Putin is learning in real time that he opened Pandora's box, and doesn't know what the fuck to do.

This is what "We'll take Kiev in 3 days, it's going to be fine!" turned into. Very Russian approach, and a very Russian outcome.
I used to think the Russo-Japanese War was the lulziest and most embarrassing… but this is becoming something else altogether.

Russian Assault in the Vuhledar direction got ACKed.

Confirmed kills on 7 BMPs, 3 critically endangered MT-LB and one T80 turret sent into lower orbit.

Russia attacks Vuhledar AGAIN
Attack becomes a massive failure and Russia takes huge losses AGAIN

Every time Russia attacks Vuhledar this shit happens.
Every. Fucking. Time.

At this point you really have to wonder if being sent into a meatwave attack against Vuhledar is some punishment for mobiks who had a wrongthink and/or officers who didn't take the vranyo bribe.

I’m loving that Ukraine has brought Russia‘s war to Russian territory. Now Putin & his rats must decide whether to unleash the expendables & looting criminals they’ve turned loose on Ukrainians onto Kursk, or send Muscovy boys whose families might push back more if they become Cargo 200.

If only the pussified West would decide they’re going to allow Ukraine to actually defend itself. If the Russian MOD is always going to cry that NATO this & NATO is being used on Russian territory, might as well oblige them.

Meanwhile, Kursk’s governor is saying they’re going to resettle evacuees from Kursk to occupied Zaporizhzhia. From the pot to the frying pan. Another day, another Russian war crime.

Got a source for this? Seeing how Obama gave Putin the okay to grab Crimea with his Little Green Man. In addition to Obama previous color revolutioning U.S. North African allies into anti-American Islamic shitholes during his first term.
I can't find the specific article I remember reading, but here's an article that mentions a constant presence in the Baltics since around that time:

Even before things kicked off in 2022 the USA was making sure Russia couldn't pull any sort of repeat inside NATO proper.

It's poor that the UK has denied Ukraine permission to use its Storm Shadow for the Kursk operation. If Ukraine had been allowed to use all these system to their capabilities, so many civilians and soldiers would be alive, and Putin would be trying far harder for some sort of insincere temporary peace. Given Putin broke deals with Ukraine and Georgia almost as they were made, and with Ichkeria when he could, any deal with with the pedo midget would be useless.

Russian Assault in the Vuhledar direction got ACKed.
Better Quality.
The Russians once again decided to play with fire and sent two tanks and one armored vehicle with troops to storm the positions of the Tavriysky paratroopers.

The "suicide bombers" were met by our artillery on the outskirts. And only then did the anti-tankers and operators of attack drones join the battle, and the Russians began to burn.

Our soldiers destroyed a tank and an armored vehicle with troops. 12 occupants burned to the ground. Many more were wounded.

The only tank that survived the attack fled the battlefield in disgrace.

Great work, warriors! Glory to the Airborne Forces! Glory to Ukraine!

Three Russian soldiers are unloaded right next to an occupied Ukrainian trench. They are shot dead the second the APC starts to move away. Of course it doesn't stop or try to support them.

🔥Hartia fighters repelled an assault in the Kharkiv region. Five tanks were destroyed and damaged, and four dozen occupants were neutralized.

On August 13, at 6 am, the enemy attempted to assault the positions of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Hartia" in the direction of Pylyne-Liptsy and Pylyne-Hlyboke. The Charter soldiers timely detected and confidently repelled the assault, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.

The enemy's tank attack consisted of two columns of 6 tanks each, covered with massive
FPV protection. Each tank carried a troop of 8-10 infantrymen. The first column of six tanks moved to the positions of the 13th Brigade of the National Guard "Hartia".

The occupiers failed to reach the front line of our defense. The brigade's soldiers inflicted a powerful fire attack with all available means, stopped and broke the column.

As a result of the confident and decisive actions of the Hartia soldiers and high-quality battle management, 4 tanks from the enemy column were destroyed and another tank was damaged.

In the area of responsibility of the Black Cossacks, the occupiers tried to attack the positions of the Defense Forces. The enemy used several columns of vehicles and a lot of infantry. Thanks to the high-quality and well-coordinated work of our brigade and attached units, the 72nd Brigade held the lines.

When the enemy realized that the attack was failing, the survivors tried to escape - not all of them succeeded. Death, captivity or escape - these are all possible outcomes for the occupiers....

"I came to kill, that's how it turns out. My unit was told to go forward and kill. But it's not me. It all depends on Putin, he gives orders. My personal attitude towards the Ukrainian people? None, I just don't have any attitude. Well, to tell you the truth - none! They give me orders, I kill and shoot. If they say don't shoot, I won't shoot. One young man refused to go - they just shot him, that's all"

"I walked everywhere in the trenches, everywhere the corpses of our burnt, torn lie. It's very scary! But I'm a convict. Assault! I was told - and I just go forward."

The perfect citizen. How did such a genius end up in prison?

As Ukrainian forces march through a village in the Kursk region, someone yells "Slava Ukraini" to them and then they meet a local drunk.

"For Belgorod, Kherson, Kursk and Crimea, let's take the United States in our crosshairs!"

Russian Magadan has its own special atmosphere. Here, far from Kursk, in relative safety, local Z-patriots started a march on Washington. You bet, let the conscripts fight in the Kursk region while the victorious Z-patriots yell in the streets of Magadan and aim an inflatable nuclear missile at the Pentagon from an old Japanese right-hand drive car with the inscription "I am Russian."

In Vovchansk, Ukrainians use salvaged hybrid vehicle hydrogen cells to make huge thermobaric bombs delivered by ground-drone:
(Archive)
Ukrainian fighters in the area had to improvise using a highly innovative method to successfully destroy the Russian firing positions at the plant. They salvaged parts from wrecked civilian electric cars to create drones and bombs. Batteries and alternators from electric vehicles like Teslas were repurposed as power sources for drones, helping to sustain the Ukrainian drone force. This resourceful approach enabled them to overcome the limitations imposed by the shortage of foreign military aid and maintain pressure on the Russian positions.

Given the circumstances of the battle of Vovchansk and the disruption of operations by Russian electronic warfare systems, the Ukrainians had to adopt a different approach. They decided to use spare parts from wrecked electric vehicles to create an innovative bomb. This bomb was built using a fully loaded hydrogen fuel cell from a wrecked Toyota Mirai car and weighed over two hundred kilograms. It was capable of inflicting severe damage on Russian defenses, comparable to an aerial bomb.

The hydrogen composition of the bomb enabled it to generate powerful blast waves, fireballs, debris, and mushroom clouds. Since drones were compromised by electronic warfare and the bomb was too heavy for aerial drone delivery, the Ukrainians opted to use a remotely operated ground drone to transport the bomb to the Russian positions. 0938966823357ac53de9156896b04ff22d3cd986.jpg
The ground drone carrying the bomb was sent over a narrow, intact section of a partially destroyed bridge along Metalista Street, just wide enough for the drone to traverse. The bridge’s location to the east of the Aggregate Plant, coupled with the nearby trees that blocked the Russians’ view, prevented the drone from being detected. After crossing the bridge, the drone moved towards the first building to the west within the Aggregate Plant complex.

As the drone approached the building, the bomb detonated, resulting in a powerful explosion that caused significant structural damage.

Explosion of ground drone based Ukrainian bomb, containing 200 kg of a car’s salvaged fuel cell and plastic explosive in Vovchansk, Kharkiv Oblast.
:woo:
The blast was followed by a fire, suggesting that the Russians may have been storing ammunition in the building, which likely contributed to the intensity of the explosion. The original, uncensored combat footage of this incredible operation can be found on Reporting From Ukraine’s Telegram channel.

I'm usually not big on Daily Mail stuff, but this is a decent piece on drones with some footage I haven't seen before:
