It doesn't really matter. It's the National Guard shooting stuff at citizens. I've actually never seen this footage and it's highly disturbing. They don't even say "if you don't go inside we are going to make you go inside with this here paintball gun," the order is given to shoot and then the civilian is shot. The fact that a National Guard member was okay with this at all is very thunk-provoking.

If a Republican governor did anything like this, we'd hear everyone bitch and moan about Kent State (which I could sperg about for hours).
Go on about Kent state. Unleash the sperging

I am not defending Waco by any means, nor do I mean to gloss over what happened.

I suppose it could be argued that the National Guard were protecting the nice areas from looting, but that is giving the benefit of the doubt.

IMO, Trump could go out there and point out all the COVID hypocrisy carried out by Democrats as an appeal to emotions. There are people, right now, who are old enough to vote but had the end of their childhood ruined by the COVID policies of Biden and other Democrats. Utilize that.

Well, there were a few reasons.

Gen X never experienced an effective liberal president before. Jimmy Carter stunk on ice and Bill Clinton was more of a moderate. Their presidents, really, were Nixon (R), Ford (R), Carter (D), Reagan (R), Big Bush (R), Clinton (D), and then Little Bush (R). That's a lot of Republicans. Obama was very fresh and said the things that Gen X wanted to hear.

Millennials grew up with the tail-end of Clinton, followed by 8 years of GW Bush which weren't that great. Then comes this young, black, well-spoken dude promising to undo all the fuck-ups of Bush - and there were a lot of them. Obama also had incredible social media engagement and his get out the vote efforts for first-time voters was likewise extremely effective. Obama knew how to win elections.

In my opinion, it was very much a "time and place" thing.
Yeah Obamar was the first vote I cast. Fuck me right? When you're a 20 something, the way he spoke and the message he preached sounded good. You also have to remember we just became super accepting of gays around that time to so it was a whole new era.

Then race relations went to an all time low and the never ending cavalcade of democrat fuck ups started.

"Factcheckers" are rating this false because "er it was TECHNICULLY because of the riots, not covid"
So people standing around doing nothing on their porch were shot at with paintballs or whatever because of.... riots? Really fascinating take.
I've never seen this footage before but it certainly caused a blood pressure spike. My original thought when watching it would get me tophats so I'll just say: fuck those people shooting at citizens and fuck Walz for enabling it.

Enough reminiscing about Obama, let's watch some footage of Tim Walz using the National Guard in May, 2020, to enforce a COVID curfew on citizens doing nothing, instead of going downtown and stopping the Floyd riots. Here we see them shooting people with paintball guns for absolutely no reason at all except that they were outside on their porches:

"Factcheckers" are rating this false because "er it was TECHNICULLY because of the riots, not covid" but as I understand it, Walz used the "emergency" status from covid to pull it off, while the riots also were going on (in a different part of town) at the same time.

How can it be because of the riots? What have people being in their own gardens got to do with riots that obviously weren't happening right there at the time?

Basically: the National Guard shouldn't have opened fire, but people never bring up the lead-up to Kent State or bring up why the National Guard got mobilized in the first place. A bunch of students started a fucking riot at a local bar that resulted in a whole neighborhood getting trashed, complete with police cars getting torched. Then when the locals got pissed and pledged to respond with force, the city's police station, the local ROTC depot, the local Army recruiting station, and the local post office were all threatened with attacks and bombings. The fact that an Army installation with guns, ammo, and other materiel were explicitly threatened is what got the NG called in.

Kent State was not some hippy-dippy sit-in where a bunch of peaceniks got iced. SDS organized fucking riots and made bomb threats. The NG were told that they might get attacked by radicals armed with weapons. Again: they shouldn't have opened fire on the students, who were by all accounts very far away, but there is a reason they were there and there was a reason they were on edge.

Also, after the shootings, the locals explicitly said "fuck 'em" and thought it was a natural consequence of bad behaviour by protestors and agitators.

Were the NG heading towards the riots, or away?

I didn't vote that election because I took the bait about Sarah Palin being retarded.

Riots are sneaky, they can break out anywhere and at any time like a form of contagious mass hysteria. For all those cops and NG knew, the people on their porch might suddenly start convulsing like they're about to start speaking in tongues, pull molotov cocktails out of their rectums, and light them up in a mere 30 seconds, it can happen that quickly!

I mean maybe not legally retarded, but she was definitely retarded. Obama's opponents definitely made the Obama vote easier.

I was disillusioned in 16 so I missed the maga energy and excitement then and 2020 was a shitshow. This is turning out to be a very fun time tho. I need someone to count how many times he called Kamala and Biden dumb or some variant. I am including him calling biden stupid and stupid face as just once time tho.

The original poster of the video in 2020 specified neighborhood but not street. I haven't been there in a long time, can't guess from the blurry night video which street, but generally speaking, that neighborhood has two freeways between it and the precincts where shit was getting set on fire. So if NG was going there, it would have made more sense to drive than to march all that way.

She was the governor of the largest state in the US. Sarah Palin may be a lot of things, but retarded is not one of them. The Democrats successfully smeared Palin via Saturday Night Live. So much for being feminists.

I appreciate your input anyway. Thank you very much - I have never been to Minnesota.
You have ALDIs in the USA too? I thought it was just a European supermarket.
ALDI has expanded into the US market, yes.

Her State being a large landmass with extremely low population doesn't mean she isn't retarded. I recall listening to her speak at length and came to the conclusion, "Yeah this bitch is dumb".

The problem is that step two to step one is too big a jump.

"You do not want white people to riot. You Do Not. Want. White People. To Riot."
Interesting coincidence: this took place in the VA town where the tranny bathroom rapist resides with his glowie mom (as discovered when the dox finally surfaced this week).
Wait. Wait wait. The tranny that raped a few kids in bathrooms, who was bounced around schools rather than doing anything and they made fucking sure not to tell parents to warn their daughters, that they were arresting people / calling them terrorists for talking about at schoolboard meetings over... was a glowiespawn? The fuck?

It's a "lower end" supermarket. They almost went down in the 2000s.
At least in the DFW area, it’s starting to become trendy for Yuppie types to go to Aldi now. Moving past where people on a budget went.

"Factcheckers" are rating this false because "er it was TECHNICULLY because of the riots, not covid"
Wait, so now they are riots that needed to be suppressed with force, and not fiery but mostly peaceful protests that the governor’s wife loved to smell?
Pick a lane media. Pick a lane.
