I don't think this is the first time this has happened, I remember reading a couple of years ago about cheaters doing the same thing(flying, aimbotting, crashing custom servers, changing your gamertag to get you banned) must of gotten worse now and I doubt it will be fixed anytime soon
and to think we never got modded custom games because of EAC which has done jack shit, thanks 343

Just a minor thing, but if you missed any of the cosmetics from the H2A Fractures set, they have finally rotated back into the Exchange after two years of repeating the same damn Black Rhine skins. I finally managed to snag the Bioroid set I missed, so aside from that one H3 back accessory that has never been released and the old ranked challenge skins, my collection is complete at last and my autism is satisfied.

Would be better if they just removed the Exchange rotation at this point and let you get anything at any time, but given the recent response to the cheating kerfuffle, it's a pipe dream to hope for any kind of substantial update.

What kind of nigger cheats on 10+ year old games with less than 2000+ daily population? I don't get it. Are paypigs that desperate to have a shitty helmet?
You could ask the same about pretty much any game people cheat in. There is no good reason to cheat in MCC since no progression systems are tied to your performance, outside of your rank in competitive playlists that nobody really cares about. No cosmetics are tied to rank, and haven't been since those aforementioned skins from several years ago. Sure, maybe cheating would let you finish your weekly challenges a little faster, but that's still not getting you anything you wouldn't have access to otherwise. It's not like something like Destiny where cheating can get you gear that you wouldn't have the skill to attain on your own.

From Mint Blitz's video, it seems most of this is targeting streamers to get them banned for the lulz, although anyone can end up in the crossfire. Like I said, I haven't seen it myself, but I haven't bothered with competitive playlists in years now, so if that's where the bulk of it is going on then it makes sense I wouldn't have encountered it.

According to some of the cheaters themselves, their doing it in an attempt to outright kill halo, i don't remember the exact details but i'd assume it's a sort of put old yeller out of their misery mindset which is niggerish the way their going about it but understandable

I've also seen a few schizo theories saying the cheaters themselves are either 343 employees or hired by them and their trying to kill mcc in an attempt to get players to move to infinite which, sounds absurd and ridiculous but I wouldn't be surprised given the clown world we live in where the most ridiculous shit happens
it's also somewhat reasonable, those cheats are crazy and i've never seen anything like that and given just how resentful 343 has always been towards old halo and bungie's legacy and saying "they'll determine if cheating is a problem", I wouldn't be shocked if this is true nor would I blame anyone for believing it

Oh it's bad, it's very bad. Mint Blitz did a highlight reel of various streamers coming into contact with these hackers:
So they're doing a public service now of banning these annoying clickbait spamming faggots? Godspeed gentlemen.

Considering 343 jannies butchered the in game text chat and outright banned people from flights for using it at all like I experienced during an invasion match in the competitive playlist with teammates that were actually communicating, Employees LARPing as cheaters is likely the case. Since its considered "witchhunting" to report cheaters with video evidence. Because official reports that go through proper channels are always ignored and even big name youtubers have to resort to this.

Trying to get people to be fed up with a good game and buy the latest pvp only half baked zoomerslop, that even years later, still won't have half the gametypes halo 3 had on launch. You will be lucky to have standard deathmatch, CTF, and KOTH. Any other gametypes are "too much work". Battle royales are a lost cause because they are glorified multi team matches with a shrinking playable area and also filled to the brim with the same kind of cheaters and ban happy discord pricks running the show.

I have never seen more cool stuff like Multi team rocket hog race in halo reach. That was fun chaos. Not retarded shit like Desert bus or Parkour that seems to be every other custom lobby.

Why don't they let 343i do that?

I'm mainly a single-player guy, so I haven't played the multiplayer in a while, but holy shit, that's awful. Why are all modern companies full of such thin-skinned faggots?

A few days ago I came across this video that encapsulates what are the current means to play classic Halo as easy as possible and although it was a good summary altogether, I did chuckle at the fact that this guy implied in all but in name that development of Sunrise for Reach essentially died because Mint Blitz redirected all of his normie audience to it a few hours after the beta became public. As a result of the discord server being overwhelmed by technologically illiterate people, the lead dev called it quits and pretty much killed any future possibility of active support of Sunrise for both H3 and Reach

Huh, this guy's channel is sure a treasure trove of niche video game content, I wonder what else he....

Motherf... Every. Single. Time. No one will deny me the right to call things fake and gay when they objectively are.
Cue the HRT in nerd communities and the 80s black crack epidemic analogy

Moral of the story: Don't use discord. Use a traditional forum like this one.

It's not just one thing, it's many. It's simple things like making an opposing player force quit and incur matchmaking timeouts or cheaters flying around the map, to making the guns that are on the ground fire at random or force opponents to keep swapping weapons so they can't actually attack, to absolute bullshit like spoofing sniper headshots from random players when they aren't even looking at anyone and making others think they're cheating, or making players instantly suicide when they respawn. At this point they might as well strip EAC out of the game since it's clear it's doing jackshit to prevent cheaters.

I advise anyone still playing MCC to steer clear of competitive entirely, though reports from the Reddit thread linked in the article say that they're also crashing custom game lobbies for shits and gigs too, so it doesn't seem anywhere is entirely safe. Anecdotally, I've played about 40 social multiplayer games this week without issue, but whether I've just been lucky enough to avoid them or they don't bother with social games as much, I couldn't say. The response of "we will determine what is feasible for us to commit to" does not bode well for any kind of fix, pretty much confirming they have nobody actually working on MCC anymore and the problem may very well get a lot worse.
Guess it was worth killing, i'm sorry "sunsetting" the official 360 servers because you could always just pla-oh
I bet it is actual 343 shills trying to get you to play Infinite, wouldn't put it past them. If it really is just niggers trying to "put the game out of it's misery", I can see that happening since the COD games have a similar problem(especially the older ones which are actually unplayable on PC due to risk of having your account or PC bricked by malicious attacks)

This actually got recommended to me by Youtube, and I haven't had an Act Man video recommended to me in a long ass time.

This was a great vid despite Act Man kind of having gone full retard recently.

It's crazy how much of a shell of themselves Bungie have become. With the rumors of nuMarathon having issues behind the scenes, I'll be surprised if they exist in a few years. It really seems like they're pretty much self-destructing.

If that is the case, it seems like a lost cause since Infinite is barely getting any support anymore. Perhaps they want to kill MCC so that everyone is forced to play the rumored CE remake.

I like Marty, but his constant crying about Microsoft just comes across as sour grapes. It was Bungie's decision to accept a non legally binding contract. It was Bungie's decision to cuck themselves with Activision. They made bad business decisions after bad business decisions and they only have themselves to blame.

And the truth is it's next to impossible to retain all your talent over two decades. It was always going to end regardless.

I wouldn't be surprised if these are former Halo fans who want Halo to die rather than see what Microsoft does further with it. After the failure of the past few Halo games and the Halo TV show, they probably don't want the series to end up like Star Wars.

That also seems likely; try to drive out the players from the MCC to Infinite. But with such plans, it will end in failure, as the players are more likely to consider a new game overall.

343 was handed a golden goose and they threw it in the shitter because it wasn't theirs, and they're angry that 2000s-era Bungie has a reputation they will never catch up to because of their shitty practices.

Given the Xbox brand's current decline, I wouldn't be surprised by anything at all at this point.
