The media tried to crucify Kyle, but they failed and the idea that you could go into rural communities and pillage with impunity was dead forever. Kenosha was the only real rural right-wing area the Left managed to riot in during that time. Most of the rioting happened in lefty cities and only hurt leftist areas. They tried to move into right-leaning areas, but walls of militias kept them out—even in blue states like Washington (which banned open-carrying at protests across the entire state afterwards due to how effective it had been dissuading them).
