I had to lobotmize my Windows so it would stop auto-updating all the time. Is there any fix that doesn't involve updating? I fucked my Windows 10 so hard that I think just enabling updates again will be a whole new song and dance, unless I can download them directly

The article says that some hardware might not work if I disable IPv6 completely. Explain to a dum dum like me what those components are and if that even matters. Might be simpler than simply updating in my case.
