Trump, allegedly, has got Tulsi Gabbard on his debate prep team for the Kamala debates. The New York Times is latest state poll among registered voters in Arizona is claiming a wide lead for Harris. The poll is showing D+5 support for her, dispite public records showing Republicans outpacing Democrats in weekly new registration figures.

Shenanigans reveal themselves in the crosstabs though, and we've seen a lot of those lately.

How well is she actually doing then? If we look at the Senate race in AZ, we see it's D+8. This is expected to be a race the Dems will win, but not by more than 5 points. These margins are suspiciously large.

So she's doing worse than the Senate race, but what about compared to Biden? If we look at who the respondents voted for in 2020, we might get a better picture.

OK... so even though Biden "won" AZ by a relatively slim margin and is expected to tilt Republican based on voter registration data, they're oversampling AZ by D+7 if you look at past vote.
If you look at party ID though, it's only D+2 when you ask the independents to pick a side.

Takeaways: If you take this poll at face value, it shows Kamala is down 2 points with 2020 Biden voters in Arizona.
