Question for the court people here, how common is it for people to court watch? Because unless its like traffic court i assume it would only be friends/family attending and that means it would be rather obvious to know if its some kiwi coming in to report. imagine its the only time in the history of this courthouse that its standing room only because that many people want to watch Nicky.

It's been said in the thread before but it's worth repeating: people really should go to a trial day at their local courthouse and just observe for a day. Courts are fascinating machines and we're (Americans) lucky to have the explicit right (as protected by our founding documents) to attend and observe their operation. Watching a court in operation is as boring or interesting as you make it, and it's something I absolutely recommend everyone do at least once in their lifetime.

That and a police ride-along. Those are very educational too, especially if you get along well with the officer you end up riding with, and even if you generally hate or don't trust cops.
