I could see him having a Cobes arc, even if he's more deserving of a Lowtax. They're already trying to cover his ass legally, they'll definitely allow him to be a waste of space for the rest of their lives

This theory would also line up with what Aaron said of April - that she absolutely wanted to take Kayla’s place.
If Kayla has any sense she’ll have already worked something out with the prosecutor, but she may have sealed her fate if she took that deal.
Getting sole custody would be the last thing Nick would want. More driving of the darn kids???Then, given Kayla's status as a convicted felon with documented drug issues, Nick will argue that he is the more suitable parent and seek custody of their children. He was the parent driving the kids to activities. In such a scenario, Kayla could lose custody, and Nick, April, and the children may relocate, potentially to a different state such as Florida or Texas. (Despite being on probation, relocation is feasible by filing a motion with the court.)
I'm going to be honest. I think Nick might be better off if he could swap the Barneswalker and Ethan Ralph on the "attorney" and "purse-wearing moron shouting nonsense outside a building on a livestream" roles on his defense team.Yes the important things about these filings is that they show that Nick's lawyer is also a window licking moron who cannot write a motion to save his life.
With Nick’s enabling parents? How often do you think he’d see the kids actually? They were already passing them off to Nick’s parents for a week at a time, how many times did they send the kids to Kayla’s parents (who are local) in a month?Getting sole custody would be the last thing Nick would want …success for him would have been for Kayla to initiate a divorce, take the kids, and then for Nick to say, well, there's nothing keeping him in MN anymore
My satisfaction is more important than your criminal record. You're NOT. There's literally a sign outside the courthouse saying you cannot do that.
Do that and you are committing the literal CRIME of contempt of court, and risking spending at least six months in jail.
How do you fucking retards continue to suggest "let's commit a crime" on every page of this fucking thread. STOP IT! PLEASE!
Nick is basically Ralph now, so taking sole custody of the kids exclusively out of spite for KF isn't out of the realm of possibility. In my opinion, success for him would have been for Kayla to initiate a divorce, take the kids, and then for Nick to say, well, there's nothing keeping him in MN anymore..... Why not move with April to LA? He can hang out with the legendary star of a Pizza Hut commercial and a comic vaporbook writer!!!
What the state believes isn't relevant. The only thing that matters is what they can prove beyond a reasonable doubt. and no matter how probable it is that he was on coke during that stream, probability isn't the threshold. He could have been on an entirely different stimulant.I dunno why the state would buy any of it though. Dude was visibly on coke on that May 20th stream. It would seem like that would a bitch move on their part as much as Nick's.
It's been said before, Nick will most likely dodge prison time as a first time offender. But junkies gotta junkie, and he'll reoffend (because he thinks he's smart) and the court will bury him. What the state believes isn't relevant. The prosecutor wouldn't offer her a plea where she exonerates other people charged with the same crime. Her plea would be acknowledging she knew cocaine was in her home and she had access/control of it. The plea likely drops the endangerment charges as the prosecutor said there are no victims in her latest response. Her plea will likely include a confession of her sole ownership of the cocaine.
I'm now of the position that he won't be going to prison. He should just be given community service, Nicky Rackets would spin a week or two in jail as him finally being hardcore, a victim of DA GOOBERMENSCH who violated his KHENSTETHUSHENUL rights and would thoroughly enjoy every second of his stay because (((Mutt's law))).
Of course he'll reoffend, but will he get caught? It wouldn't surprise me if he's dabbling in a lot more than coke, ketamine, and the mysterious brown substance. It's been said before, Nick will most likely dodge prison time as a first time offender. Contrary to what others have said, I don't think Kayla is the one in the most danger here. If this goes to trial—which I think will be unlikely to begin with but who knows with Nick—Nick and Kayla benefit the most from putting up a unified front. The person who should really be concerned about being thrown under the bus is April. This theory would also line up with what Aaron said of April - that she absolutely wanted to take Kayla’s place.

"You must admit my paranoid schizophrenic view of the world has merit."An obtrusive thought bubbled up last night as I was driving home from work: the 5k subscriber gift.
He has never, to my knowledge, ever apologized about it, at least not in any meaningful way. It’s never, “sorry, guys, I fucked up and I know you’re probably upset,” or, “I overshot my expectations and that’s on me, maybe we can hash out something that would work on my end and that you all would be happy with,” or any kind of admittance or contrition. It’s always, “it’s coming, I promise, it will be awesome and you will love it,” like a divorced dad that keeps promising that dirt bike for Christmas 8 years ago, never delivered and it’s obvious that he never will.
The kid is no longer 8 years old and holding onto that childish niavete. They’re now 16, moved on from wanting a dirt bike and hate visitation days at dad’s place where they talk to their friends online and count down the hours to go back to their “real” home.
Nick still thinks the kid is the same as that 8 year old and that his endless promises hold sway, not realizing the kid can’t wait until they’re 18 and can write him off completely.
I wonder if Nick’s oldest kids feel that way. “I can’t wait to be out of this house because mom and dad are a wreck. I want to have my own home just to be away from them and live my life.”
It’s sad and pathetic. Nick has failed so hard. As a father, as a parent. It’s there on the table for everyone to see, but he still has this delusion that they’re the trusting 8 year old that he keeps on the mantle in his memories.
Ethan Ralph, friend of Nicholas Rekieta, defender of Ethan Ralph. If anyone's going to the trial, Gunt will be there and he plans to harass and dox anyone he can.
