We Doomer's are not upset about the Polls. We know that Trump is ahead in the polls no matter what they MSM is reporting. That's not the problem.

The issue is WHAT the MSM is reporting and how. They are building a narrative with the polls and hype to pave the way for the ballot printers to go BRRRRRRRRRRRR in the swing states.

If Harris's polling shows she's 5 points behind then when she "suddenly" wins in a massive landslide then more then a few eyebrows will be raised and shit might get serious. People would ask questions how a candidate so far behind won so many states in the middle of the night when Trump was ahead by a few 10's of K.

Buuuuut, if the polls show Harris in the lead comfortably and then the 3am ballot drops start hitting in the important districts and the MSM starting saying she won like everyone knew she would and blah blah blah suddenly the average Joe would just shrug his shoulders and go "oh well, it was good try Donny but I guess the people want Kamala" and that's that.

It's the narrative the MSM is crafting using the polls and not the polls themselves that bother us. Listen to how and what the MSM are saying. Listen to the story that the American people are being blasted with on all sides from the MSM, from social media and print media then wonder gee golly how can these outlets just lie like this.

They can lie like this because they know they can get away with it and that's why I'm a "doomer". Not that Trump won't win but because he's probably already lost unless something very serious changes very soon.

How many 10K 3am ballot drops that are 100% Harris will you need before you realize that your not fighting against Harris or the DNC but your fighting agaist the whole goddamn media and tech sphere elites who wants to crown her President for their own reasons and don't give a single shit how the voting goes.

Trump isn't fighting Harris or the DNC or the Democracts. He's fighting the US governmental beauracracy elites and it's propaganda arm and it's many, many, many, minions. That's the real campaign that need to be won and I don't think he can do it, I don't think anyone can do it as things stand right now.

I think the counteracting forces need to be like this:

1. Win in numbers far greater than what the 3am drops can achieve. These swing states are going to be won by mere tens of thousands of votes inserted into various Dem-controlled counties, and fixing those numbers in excess of those starts may start straining the cheat machine or worse- reveal the whole system. Trump has to maximize his likely voter turnout while depressing Kamala's.
2. Disrupt Democratic vote harvesting efforts through ballot verification and lawfare upstream of election day, while duplicating them on your end.
3. Dispute and discredit narrative-setting push polls.
4. Derail the MSM-created Kamalamania.

Unfortunately the most important part (election security) of this falls to the RNC and Republicans in general to resolve, and they are the weakest link in the chain.

On paper, yes. The thing is, Kamala was not a choice they made lightly, the DNC only chose her because that was the only candidate that would let them keep the funds already donated to Biden's campaign, since Kamala was part of it. If they had gone with a better choice, they would have lost all that money and there goes a sizable chunk of their marketing budget. Of their available options, Kamala was, the favored in a choice of damnations - choose her as a candidate, potentially keep the funds. Choose someone else, potentially do better, but lose all that money at a time when your ad blitz is pretty much the only thing you have to push your candidate at this point. Fucked if they do, fucked if they don't.

I like the conspiracy theory that Biden named Kamala as his VP pick as a Fuck You to Obama and his powerbase for forcing him out. Something about George Clooney was going to propose someone else (Walz?) at a big event and Biden pre-empted them.

I don't know how plausible it is, but in his more lucid moments Joe Biden is one of the most spiteful people you could meet. The theory amuses me.

Help a fellow Brit out by explaining the rules of nominees at the DNC. Is it possible that whomever votes/calls the shots could nominate someone other than Kamala and Walz?

If so:

1) Who would it be?
2) How would Kamala, the VP and defacto president react? Could she step down as VP and drop Biden in the shit?

The role call is already over—they did it on zoom early to get on the ballot in Ohio— and Kamala won with 99% of the vote. Walz is on some official ballot documents, but technically hasn't been officially nominated yet and could be replaced at the DNC

Here are the basic convention rules this year:
1.) To be a nominee, you need 500 of the 3949 delegates to support you, but a max 50 delegates/state count toward this requirement because we have a federalist electoral system.
2.) To win the nomination, win a simple majority of the delegates.
3.) If no candidate wins a majority, DNC elites called "super delegates" join the voting pool and cast votes for the candidate of their choice.

Candidates normally won a state in the primary and bound all the delegate votes for that state to themselves. But in an open convention candidates just need to convince the delegates to vote for them since there wasn't a primary.
So, if someone else were to "challenge" Kamala, it would only be a paper tiger who will get 5% at most to make the system appear more democratic. The competitor they chose could be intended to make Kamala look better by comparison and send a message to the voter base on the direction of the Democrat Party. For example, they might nominate Joe Manchin to show they are rejecting neoliberalism in favor of progressivism. They might've had Bernie Sanders to show how much younger Kamala looks and demonstrate to the activist wing how the DNC will buck break them if they don't step in line. Basically, it would be a punishment for people they hate in the party.

Basically the only swing state that successfully reformed their voting laws after 2020 was Georgia, the rest of reform laws were mostly in solidly red states.
I mean, it's good that Texas and Florida shored things up since those are pillars for Republican success nationwide, but all of the swing states not named Georgia weren't able to accomplish shit. Arizona tried but the courts AND executive are opposed to the legislature so all their initiatives die on the vine.
