Right back at you Shitsney.

When's Rogue Squadron coming out? They never officially cancelled it so it has to be coming at some point, right?
Never because the Mandalorian movie is going to bomb harder than a Beijing armory in 1626. Hopefully people will stop talking about it so that the video game's SEO doesn't get tanked like Tales of the Jedi, Tales from the Empire, Last of the Jedi, The Last Jedi (2011 novel), or the Thrawn Trilogy.

If they won’t take better care of themselves, then they’ll take out their frustrations on a beloved franchise. I think it’s funny how they’ll promote “gurl power” but hate the idea of beautiful women and won’t better themselves.
That requires hard work and anyone that is resentful enough to become a feminist hates grooming.

It's meant to have a budget of $120 million. My gut reaction is it'll be a moderate hit. $300-400 Million area. However...

The big hurdle they have is that it won't have much or any appeal to people who don't watch the TV shows. Which will fall into three camps. Those who stopped watching. Those who still watch but are aware it's gone downhill. Those who still watch and enjoy. Don't watch it on a level to notice or care it's gone downhill. The people who don't understand why people say the Kenobi series was shit. Casual watches.

None are great propositions to convert into going to the cinema to see the film, as opposed to waiting for it to appear on Disney+.

To be fair I am ignoring a fourth group, this who still watch and think it is as good as ever, but that's because I don't think they exist.

I assume I will see it in the cinema, but I'm one of those people where it's easy to get to the cinema and the cost is negligible to me. I won't go if it looks like pure arse with a bait and switch with Starbuck as the main character or something gay. I know people will be like, "don't support." Whatever I do what entertains me, watching YouTubes and online bitching is good entertainment for me.

Basically, just do a shitty refrain of the first season: ie more shitty mystery boxes and on the fly editing without any direction for the cast to follow. Oh also, mining from EU to get the bots and reply guys to send agitprop about [product] caring about lore. Oh and burning millions of more dollars unless Iger actually kills it for realsies for tax writeoffs.

Oh, and a lot of Amandla just arguing at herself, since the show kept trying to pretend the twins loved each other at all when all they did was argue and try to commit fratricide.

So how are they gonna possibly continue the story of Acolyte when it flopped harder than a fat acceptance cunt hitting the bottom of a grave?
They won't. Ahsoka might get a second season just because Filoni is second chair at Lucasfilm but the Acolyte did such shockingly bad numbers that it's not coming back. They have no problem axing underperforming TV shows.

Anyone have a video of the new mandoslop teaser trailer they showed at D23? Disney is DMCA'ing the shit out of that across all sites.

It was just clips from the show with a couple of seconds of new footage. The film doesn't come out until 2026. It's got to be shot, and the rewritten and reshot a couple times before it gets released. No point being interested in it at this stage.

Haven't been in this thread for a while. Sentiment is dour, and new awful projects have been announced, so I thought I'd post a nostalgic ad to improve morale around here:

I can clearly remember going into the local walmart in 1996-97 and seeing a wire rack with star wars POTF figures stacked from the top of the shelf several feet up, seeing stacks of boxed vehicles an entire row of Star Wars toys, it was an exciting time. The local Toys R Us had displays like this as well.

Never again will we ever see something like this.

funny part is Disney bought star wars specifically so they could have that and they did when TFA came out, but after pretty much nothing selling from rogue one, TLJ and solo the star wars section in pretty much any store now got cut down from an entire aisle to like 4 pegs and a 2 foot shelf. they didn't even bother doing a big toy marketing run for Rise of Skywalker.
