I don't know who could buy it but they really needs to start thinking about selling star wars. It's an albatross around Disney's neck that probably is doing a really good job offsetting the profits of marvel. Especially when most of everything they make is unprofitable and poorly managed

Disney is probably in danger of losing money overall on their Star Wars franchise acquisition at this point. How many more bombs, streaming losses, failed parks, and other ventures can fail before they admit defeat? Their just canceled show had a $180 million budget for eight episodes and that doesn't even include marketing.

They already lost money. At best rise just made its money back and that is being optimistic

OT: As the most non-Star Wars person imaginable, I find the continued implosion of this franchise extremely fascinating to watch. Of the new stuff I've only seen TFA (bland but inoffensive,) Rogue One (charisma vacuum and embarrassing fan service) and ROS (bewildering incompetence). It's hard to believe Disney have spent so much money to fumble what should have been a reliable cash cow, and they refuse to pull up.

Currently waiting to see how Star Wars Outlaws turns out. I personally hated Fallen Order and Survivor but the concept had potential; Outlaws looks much, much more boring.

I actually really liked the new jedi games. It's basically dark souls with actual plot and it's fun wish fulfillment of going around fighting the empire. The sequel was pretty great all things considered and didn't really lean into Disney shit besides a sprinkle of andor and high republic. They still have time to screw up the third one but so far so good.

My parents were always really stingy and I kind of just eventually accepted it, which meant I more or less had to just completely ignore toylines that had a lot of figures to collect. The only one I remember asking for was the scout trooper with the bike and they wouldn't even buy me that. For some reason my mother did pick up the landspeeder at a flea market but the fact that I didn't have a single figure to actually put in it was always a sore point.

So of course when I discovered as an adult that these toys are worth nothing these days, I went and bought damn near all of them.

People here would probably call me a star was apologist, but the last few really lost me. I never watched Rebels and I'm not doing homework to watch a TV show, so I never started Ashoka. Never saw Batch because either because eh.

ACKolate was the first one I started and didnt even finish. I watched the first few episodes to have something to talk about around the office. It was genuinely impressive how backwards this story was. Even being very generous and ignoring it's politics, it's narrative structure was just wrong.

I thoroughly enjoyed Andor last year (and wanted to see the 2nd season), but cancelled disney+ because I didnt want my children seeing the gay stuff that was popping up on that service. I thought Mando 1 and 2 were good, but The Book of a person who is not Boba Fett was not good and Mando 3 I didnt even bother to watch as I didnt have disney+ anymore.

Its really just not worth the effort, it is stained and tarnished too much.

Disney star wars is like a drug addicted cousin. There are moments where it seems like disney is trying to improve himself and is doing better like with early seasons of mando and andor. However Disney always relapses back and continues to sabotage itself. At a certain point you just have to give up and realize that the situation wont get better.

Lucasfilm is a complete shitshow and katleen kennedy has succesfully managed to destroy each and every of its IPs, even if you don't like the movies, you can still stop to marvel at the car crash.
