No. Because she couldn't have possibly known that at the time, and she'll feel that she was therefore still right to be angry. It's never appropriate for her to throw a childish temper tantrum, ever, and doubly so when you spent the price of a tank of gas on a friend. She was angry that she wasn't in control of what happened to that money, which is why you have to be careful not to validate that feeling in the slightest.

I know that the obesity rates of South America are higher than even the US but I wasn't aware of what you said in your post. For young people to have rotting teeth or lose their teeth to drinking soda because they can't trust the local drinking water is fucked up. So the question I am asking myself is why don't I know. I came up with 3 reasons:

1) I'm ignorant
2) It's South America and I don't give a shit about them.
3) This should be up the progressive anti-corporation leftist alley and you would think they would be shouting from the rooftops about this. But the left has been co-opted by corporations and we live in a weird era where the left are pro-corporate anti-capitalist consoomers. Mexico is mostly a lower-middle-class country with no shortage of affordable, drinkable water. People have a lot more disposable income now than they did 30 years ago, and a lot of it goes to junk food, which is for sale everywhere.

If you see a Colombian girl on social media who is living the good life and has some nebulous career like "entrepreneur", model, or owner of some store you have never heard of she is undoubtedly a prostitute. Add to that the influx of Venezuelan women needing money fast and a steady stream of sexpats and you get a country filled with whores, or women whose highest aspiration in life is being a whore.

RE. tooth decay thing, I remember my mom remarking she was surprised my teeth were so healthy and unrotten back when I was 16. Unsurprisingly, I had access to dental care while she didn't at that age. Even with "universal" healthcare, poor people living in the countryside simply don't have the means or time to travel to cities to get their health issues looked at.

There's a bit of genetics but mexican cuisine is shit, its all beans and rice and corn with shitty greasy meat. Going on a diet in mexico is hard specially if you're poor. When I was in south america the diet there had a lot more veggies and the meat was much better, in some areas even better than here.

I've dated plenty of women and been in multiple LTRs. You want to know how many women haven't wound up making my life more difficult? One. Just one.

If they cooked (and it was never as good as me cooking, mind you) then they were messy and I had to clean everything. If they cleaned, then they couldn't cook. None of them could do basic home maintenance. None of them could do simple things like install a shower curtain or assemble furniture. None them could do even the most basic of home tasks and that's why they all got the boot. It's ridiculous how messy they would let their homes get while they would sit around and play on their phones.

Almost every woman I have been with has usually doubled my workload. None of them ever made my life any easier. Some weren't even pleasant to be around. Then they all have gall to give me shit when I tell them we're done. You don't get thank yous. You don't get any rewards for any of this crap. It's almost always been more work for no payoff.

Even as long ago as the 1990s, the message was getting out to young women that any expectation that they bring anything to a relationship other than their "personality" (which doesn't mean being nice) and sex drive (which might just deactivate for two months, get over it) is "misogyny." Of course, telling women that they can't have any expectations, either, is also "misogyny." So it's perfectly fine for a woman to expect any man she settles down with to be a fit millionaire, but it's misogyny for a fit millionaire to expect any woman who wants to be in his league to not be fat and know how to cook. Feminism really is about absolving a woman of any accountability or expectations.
