That's plausible;, in certain cases, but the biggest impact is also childhood trauma/psychology. Most of these are certainly acquired, I don't believe genetics being the main factor. But I agree, let's not confuse furry and zoophiles, just like murdering a guy in a videogame, and one IRL. The sophism is the same.

Having had the displeasure of talking with zoophiles on the internet, most of them don't do it with the active intent to be cruel. The impression I got is that the zoophilia started with a fondness toward animals, probably started as something innocent that later became something more sexual as they grew up. Since the act of bestiality is taboo across most of the world as well as being illegal, the zoophile in question probably felt disgusted by their attraction, but instead of repressing it, they embraced it by making 'justifications' and by lying to themselves by believing in things like "animals can consent" (if you truly believe this, it makes the act of sleeping with an animal less severe, because 'they' the animal, agreed to it, so it's fine) One, animals can't consent and two, even if they could, our biologies are incompatible and no matter how much you say you love them, sleeping with them is hurting them.
The cruelty is often a byproduct of the zoophile trying to desperately justify their attraction in a world that finds them to be abhorrent, which I can understand to a degree, because no sane person wants to be a villain

If you understand basic biology and how pregnancy works, that should be proof enough. The basic idea of it is that all humans start as female with XY chromosomes, which turn XX if they become male etc. If there is a chemical imbalance during this stage of fetal growth, bad things can happen, ranging from the least severity being sexual orientation, to severe brain damage.
Anyway, what proof do you have to back up that absurd 80% claim lol
