Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

There were no good ideas
Any idea can be good if you write it right. You could have the most interesting/thrilling plot outline in history but if it's not written/conveyed properly to the audience then it's going to be shit no matter what.
When I say good ideas I mean, again like what happened to Luke. It could have worked if they actually properly conveyed it to the viewer. Snoke could've been an interesting new villain if the writers actually gave a shit, Finn could've actually done something useful ect.
Basically, many of these ideas could have been salvaged if the writers weren't complete retards.

You're completely right about what they did to Luke as well. I'd argue they gave Han a pretty shit death too, especially since nobody who matters besides Chewie was even there to witness it. We don't even get a funeral scene or anything. And to top it all off Kylo murdering him ended up being totally pointless anyway when he returned to the light at the end anyway.
Kylo could have also been a much more interesting character too.
If you're willing to humor my autistic ideas for a second.
I feel as though it would've made more sense for Kylo to descend further and further into madness as the movies went on. Throwing away his humanity piece by piece until he's Palpatine tier evil. Hell, you could've even used that to somewhat justify Luke's actions. Maybe Luke glimpsed the future and saw what he would become. Though considering he wouldn't even kill Palpatine himself that still is kind of retarded I know but it's better than him just doing it because they felt like it. Plus, Kylo coming back to the light was fucking retarded and predictable too. But being original isn't exactly what these people want obviously. But a better subversion of expectations would've been for Kylo to just keep descending until he hit the bottom and his evil caught up with him. At least in my opinion.

But these are all just the ramblings of a retard.

Can we talk about shitty of a game Empire at war is? I assumed based on mods it would be good, but the land battles are an obnoxious waste of time that most people cheese with bombing runs and the space battles while good looking usually are defender bias because of the reinforcements. giving each faction entirely different ways of acquiring shit is a waste of effort because of how little non-combat is focused on.

the population caps really make most battles an annoying slog. the field of view is obnoxiously tiny which means getting any of your units to do anything is a slog.

Ladies and gentlemen, yet again I have been proven RIGHT! As I post this Kathleen Kennedy's office is being moved to the BASEMENT of Lucasfilm due to the utter FAILURE of The Wokelyte! Dave Filoni has moved into her old office and covered the walls with Ahsoka fan art and his desk has four model Loth-wolves. Filoni and Favrou have officially WON the Lucasfilm Civil War! The second season of Ahsoka will be about Ahsoka and Sabine using the World Between Worlds to ERASE the Wokelyte from canon by killing the coven of Sith witches. Filoni is reviving The Bad Batch which will follow the story of Omega and how she founded the Rebellion with the help of Mon Mothma and Princess Leia. It will have a guaranteed five seasons. The Mandalorian & Grogu movie will be expanded to a trilogy about Din Jarrin and Grogu helping Bo Katan fight Grand Admiral Thrawn. The last movie of the trilogy will be Ahsoka, Sabine, Bo Katan, and Omega joining forces to defeat Thrawn while Din Jarrin stands behind them saying, "This is the way."

I implore all of you to celebrate our TOTAL VICTORY in the Lucasfilm Civil War by getting a Disney+ subscription so we can all enjoy Filoni's TRUE VISION of Star Wars!

While I will give Jar Jar and KKK precious little slack, I will KINDA give them this one, in that Ford made it no secret he wanted to be done with Star Wars and his character being killed off was supposedly part of his contract to take the film.

That said, they could have done better. But given how needlessly horseshit everything else in the sequels was, I'm not wasting too much precious hate on something that was awful but had a reason.

The other issue I take is that Leia had gone full grandma complete with the old woman shakey voice, but they were trying make her into some badass grannyboss.

Honestly if this was about a decade ago I'd probably care way more too, but that's just what happens when you grow up.
I just don't have the energy or the motivation anymore to get too involved in stuff like this. Can't change the past, Star Wars is already irreversibly fucked so the only healthy thing I supposed to do would be to just move on. :(

But it is nice to see that people are beginning to share the opinion that what has happened to the franchise was pretty shitty, even if it ultimately doesn't really matter.

I can clearly remember going into the local walmart in 1996-97 and seeing a wire rack with star wars POTF figures stacked from the top of the shelf several feet up, seeing stacks of boxed vehicles an entire row of Star Wars toys, it was an exciting time. The local Toys R Us had displays like this as well.
I'm happy that I was still able to attend the releases for the Revenge of the Sith and Clone Wars toys as a kid. Hearing the store put the Star Wars theme on throughout the store as they let us kids run wild was truly magical.

Now fast-forward to 2024 and my local target doesn't even have Star Wars toys save for a few lego sets.

Of all Doomcuck's lies, the "Lucas Civil War" might be the most ridiculous, and I'm surprised people exist that actually believe it.

Kennedy being fired every month kind makes more sense, as a lie, because her projects have lost money. But the idea that Hollywood types are somehow risking their entire careers to make some random internet randoms happy is insane. Favreau and Filoni seem different because they like Star Wars, or at least their versions of it, and aren't there purely for activism, and yes, if they were in charge, they likely would've done things differently. But they are not going to burn bridges in Hollywood and start fights with the president of the company, sacrifice a source of income, job opportunites, and make themselves unemployable for a nebulous "saving Star Wars" goal.

How would that even work? Do they imagine Favreau shouting at KK while railing employees to form a rebel alliance, like in the movies? Do they expect that KK will approve, and fund their projects, yet fight them in a company civil war at the same time, somehow? That's a pure fantasy. I guarantee you, both just head to work, and if they see KK, they will be nice and professional with her. Just like any employee does with their boss. The fight only exists in their heads.

And if there was a "secret" civil war, it's impossible Kathleen wouldn't notice, but somehow some random YouTubers would. It's completely delusional. The instant KK thought any of them were a threat to her, she would have instantly fired them. Hell, Filoni only got so far because KK likes him. She is on record of saying this in interviews. She has him to deal with all the nerd shit she can't be bothered with.

The only thing that's for sure is that Doomcuck is a massive grifter and making a huge bank of desperate fans.

From here:
I was genuinely surprised to find out he wasn't gay only a few years ago. I remember him being on a Simpson's episode way back in like 2000 or so and thinking he sounded like a total flamer and just assumed he was gay. Now I see him sitting there insulting muh maga with his legs crossed like a woman. :story:

I liked his voice acting and I liked him in the 90's Flash tv series (check that show out if you haven't seen it, it's good). I've always found him really faggy though. Of course he is a lefty. Not every homo is a libtard, but every libtard is a homo.

Not sure what was so bad about Order or Suvivor.
I know I'm in the minority on this opinion, but I just hated the combat. I had the exact same issues with it as I did with GoW: Ragnarok: it felt like another case of western devs misunderstanding the Souls formula and thinking throwing huge gank mobs at the player is how you create an enjoyable challenge. In 1 on 1 boss fights the combat was great, but in any group encounter I found it absolutely tedious.

Also the fact in Survivor they limited animation cancelling to one stance, (but this rule didn't apply to enemies who could do whatever they wanted,) was total bullshit imo. I maintain those games would have been better served adapting a Devil May Cry combat style instead of the Soulslike methodical trading blows.

I liked Fallen Order a lot more than Ragnarok. Unlike that game, it didn't feel like it was made out of an intense hatred for the fans of the franchise that made it possible. There were a lot of things I didn't like, being part of Disney canon, but they did the best they could with what they had to work with. Not the best souls clone, but the combat was decent enough.

I haven't played Survivor yet because nobody's bothered to crack it.

you think that POS has ever meet that kid?
At least his son is apparently involved with his daughter and didn't go full Tomlinson on her.
The mother seems to keep off social media mostly but people who're acquainted with her relayed info that "her relationship with the Hamills has changed". Doesn't change the fact that Mark Hamill effectively humiliated his son (a financially independent 37 year old not being ready for a kid? ayy lmao) and employed passive-aggressive social manipulation tactics (most likely because he disapproved of the relationship; the mother had a bit of "storied" history too).
