Any idea can be good if you write it right. You could have the most interesting/thrilling plot outline in history but if it's not written/conveyed properly to the audience then it's going to be shit no matter what. There were no good ideas
When I say good ideas I mean, again like what happened to Luke. It could have worked if they actually properly conveyed it to the viewer. Snoke could've been an interesting new villain if the writers actually gave a shit, Finn could've actually done something useful ect.
Basically, many of these ideas could have been salvaged if the writers weren't complete retards.
You're completely right about what they did to Luke as well. I'd argue they gave Han a pretty shit death too, especially since nobody who matters besides Chewie was even there to witness it. We don't even get a funeral scene or anything. And to top it all off Kylo murdering him ended up being totally pointless anyway when he returned to the light at the end anyway.
Kylo could have also been a much more interesting character too.
If you're willing to humor my autistic ideas for a second.
I feel as though it would've made more sense for Kylo to descend further and further into madness as the movies went on. Throwing away his humanity piece by piece until he's Palpatine tier evil. Hell, you could've even used that to somewhat justify Luke's actions. Maybe Luke glimpsed the future and saw what he would become. Though considering he wouldn't even kill Palpatine himself that still is kind of retarded I know but it's better than him just doing it because they felt like it. Plus, Kylo coming back to the light was fucking retarded and predictable too. But being original isn't exactly what these people want obviously. But a better subversion of expectations would've been for Kylo to just keep descending until he hit the bottom and his evil caught up with him. At least in my opinion.
But these are all just the ramblings of a retard.
