Kids love dark stories, there is a reason FNAF and it’s various clones are so popular.

The child audience is why what little edge the series had got filed away over time. It's barely a horror series anymore, just mystery games with jumpscares sometimes.

I wish close enough hadn’t been so abysmally marketed that it was cancelled so soon, really felt like an actual adult cartoon that focused on turning mundane situations into fun surreal adventures. It was so refreshing to see an adult show that didn’t rely on edgy gross out humour or extreme violence for comedy. I wish J.Q Quintel would go onto produce something else but we’ll have to see.

At least stuff like goosebumps and are you afraid of the dark knew they were schlock and cheesy kids horror and didn't start off trying to be dark and serious only to get dumbed down for an audience never meant for it from the start.

As a kid you laugh at mordecai and Rigby, as adults you relate to the families and couples of close enough.

It's not a situation like gumball with trump because the show is boring and most of that conflict resumes on "Musk = Bad"

I don't think they'd get away with hirohito anyway since he was parodied super hard and is essentially *the* Jap stereotype.
Goofy characters look like him a lot in JP media but you wouldn't get away with it as a roundeye.

Season 3 probably is the best season to leave on. 4 and 5 will just piss you off for how much they set up for other characters just to throw it out the window so they can crowbar it back to Marinette and her wacky antics (THAT WAS TOTALLY A TRAUMA RESPONSE THAT HAS NEVER BEEN HINTED AT OR MENTIONED BEFORE).

Don´t forget that his neckbeard stupid ass creator is technically a lolcow at this point....honestly his grudge with that stereotypical queen bee blonde character is pathetic and super schizo

They're not perfect, but as far as "high school clones of famous people in a UPA inspired art style" go, these are more recognizable and more appealing by miles. I don't mind the reboot's Confucius design, it's about as Confucius as Gandhi is Gandhi, but the girls got the real short end of the stick.

Unpopular opinion, but I keep thinking that Justin Timberlake’s voice acting was out of place in Shrek The Third. For me, I was confused as to why I waited almost seventeen years later to think about this, but I never could get why he needed to be the in third installment.

Maybe I should rewatch it sometime.
