Mike Crispi has a point: why are we venerating the emotional expression of a retard? We shouldn't ridicule Gus, but that doesn't mean we have to ooh and aah at his crying as if it were the most precious thing we've seen, or, worse, the galvanizing force that brings the nation together.
It would not surprise me that whatever specific disorder Gus has, makes him more prone to emotional expressions of that nature. But that makes it EVEN WORSE that they let (?)/pushed him into doing it.

I did go and see some of the clips after posting this and I'm immediately suspect. Gus didn't seem to have any of the ticks or mannerisms of someone who is so bad off that they're non-verbal. He just looks like a simpleton soy boy and I am much, much more leaning towards Tim and The Kackler putting him out there as bait.
no, it's not that they're "non-verbal" it's that the learning disability involved is not verbal in nature. Like, they CAN learn verbally/audially, but NOT visually despite having no sight impairment. Kid IS definitely exceptional and it was an absolute outrage that they did this to him. He literally cannot process shapes properly in his brain nor understand certain concepts - which makes this all the more unconscionable because
