EU Founder and CEO of encrypted messenger Telegram questioned in France - Telegram founder Pavel Durov detained on arriving in France from Azerbaijan. shit is VERY BAD

https://www.tf1info.fr/justice-fait...ee-telegram-interpelle-en-france-2316072.html ( archived https://archive.ph/edvkC )

Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of the encrypted messaging Telegram, was arrested around 8 p.m. this Saturday evening when he got off his private jet on the Tarmac of Bourget Airport. This 39-year-old, this Franco-Russian was accompanied by her bodyguard and a woman.

The arrest was carried out by the gendarmes of the GTA (gendarmerie of air transport). Boarded at the FPR (File of Les Persons sought), Pavel Durov arrived straight from Azerbaijan. Above the head he had a French research mandate issued by the OFMIN of the National Directorate of the French Judicial Police issued on the basis of a preliminary investigation.
Why was he under the threat of a research mandate?
Justice considers that the absence of moderation, cooperation with the police and the tools proposed by Telegram (disposable number, cryptocurrencies ...) makes it accomplice of drug trafficking, pedocriminal offenses and scam.

This research mandate ran if, and only if, Pavel Durov was on the national territory. "He committed a dumpling tonight. We don't know why ... was this flight only a step? In any case, he is boxed!", Slips a source close to the investigation at TF1/ LCI. Since he had known himself persona non grata in France, Pavel Durov used to travel to the Emirates, in the countries of the ex-USSR, in South America ... He traveled very little in Europe and avoided the countries where Telegram is under surveillance.

And now ?
Investigators of the ONAF (National Antifraude Office attached to the Customs Department) notified him and placed him in police custody. It should be presented to an investigating judge this Saturday evening before a possible indictment on Sunday for a multitude of offenses: terrorism, narcotics, complicity, fraud, laundering, concealment, pedocriminal content ...

"Pavel Durov will end up in pre -trial detention, for sure," comments an investigator from TF1/LCI. "On his platform, he suggested an incalculable number of crimes and crimes for which he does nothing to moderate or cooperate," analyzes a source close to the file.

His pre -trial detention at the end of his indictment is in fact no doubt. Pavel Durov, a billionaire, has substantial means for fleeing and its guarantees of representation will hardly convince the judges.

A draft to international resonance
For investigators, this draft with international resonance with various objectives. First, it allows you to kick the anthill, impress and dissuade the authors of crimes and crimes which, so far freely, on Telegram. Then, they aim to put pressure on European countries to accentuate the common work to bend the encrypted messaging on terrorist files.

Indeed, Telegram is a hive for criminal content. At the moment, the platform is making the news with the illegal broadcast of Ligue 1. matches but on this encrypted messaging, many accounts are used by organized crime. Beyond terrorism, the most dangerous pedocriminals communicate on Telegram to exchange content. "For years it has become the number 1 platform for organized crime," comments an investigator.

Which still does not justify criminal prosecution in any way.
The arrest is entirely a political stunt and it makes me wonder why he landed in fr*nce in the first place. He's always been very careful and had to flee his russian residence(s) due to previous scandals with terrorism and war content. They are just making an example out of it because he doesn't respond to foreign govs and the french are butthurt losers, i don't condone his arrest either. I'm just saying that it's a shit platform and while he or moderators have not yet been caught (that i know of, unlike discord and the cub/pedos fiasco for example) participating in all of that actionable by sone cucked fr*nch law, there's still a fine line between incompetency and complacency.

I think that Section 230 protects American sites at the moment. However, I also think that pineapple with ham on pizza is delicious, so I may be retarded.
weve saw how well that protected josh when trannies were with the help of the government and corporate media and tech cronies allowed to illegally take kf down with impunity and widespread media support with josh being unable to sue for even outright obvious egregious slander and libel with dong gone having funds from his highly gatekept gov proxy job to sue people for bs reason, with keffals being allowed to groom rape and mutilate kids with bidens blessing, or how it worked for the daily stormer or all the people debanked and then strong armed directly by the gov like fuentes (i know but still) or how it worked out for all the services like anonfile where feds obviously spam it with cp to get it shut down.

the american government is an incestuous overgrown pustule of zog with its greasy child rape loving tendrils in every facet of infrastructure and legality to them is a mere formality or an easier route to have boots directly on your throat.

>people think that the French actually value Liberté, Égalité, and Fraternité

The lesson of the French Revolution and the Paris Commune is that Europeans can’t have nice things. The only thing they are allowed to have is shitty healthcare systems they gaslight themselves into worshiping and a boot on their throat.
and foreign child rape and bombings and stabbings and car attacks. i think france was a pioneer in that actually allowing more foreigners to rape in the rhine when even alot of european countries had some semblance of common sense not to do that

Whatever happens in this particular case, I think this shows the general tendency that any centralized service cannot be trusted and it's not "the future".
In 2023 jabber.ru was purposefuly compromised by Linode and Hetzner (most probably via German police request), which resulted in a 3-6 months long MITM attack. So unless your messenger is 100% serverless and you are ABSOLUTELY sure that you evaded all ISP shenanigans, you are not safe from glowies.

KF WhatsApp group chat when
Hopefully never. Despite needing to use it for years for work...

- Owned by FB.
- Must use a real phone number.
- Pain in the ass.
- Highly monitored.
- Stores logs on central server.
- Able to be exported.

And so much more.

Signal went to shit too didn't it? I haven't kept up with messaging apps and only use telegram for KF updates and Discord for game comms. (and a server where people post cute cats)

I give it 10 years before it's legit a hazard to one's safety to ever set foot in the EU and/or Britain if you run an encrypted social media app.
Wonder if the privacy advocates are going to relocate to Southeast Asia or Latin America next.
Every one, including Jewsh is just going to move to Argentina to go crash on Great-Great Uncle Ruprecht's Couch.

Well in that sense you can argue that you are never safe from glowies, since you still have all the hardware backdoors. There are P2P messengers out there. I would say probably the future will see more hopping from one messenger to the other.

He’s a French Citizen, maybe he made a deal for their pound of flesh.

My drug, I really don't want to shit this thread with Slav politsperging, but Russia is not exactly a beacon of free speech and individual liberty.
Well, how long will Western Europeans and Americans keep saying this until they reach the same level as Russia in freedom of speech and individual freedom?
In Russia, the state swoops in and censors people.
In the West, citizens act as foot soldiers for the state.
They victimize themselves and ask for the government to censor people they don't personally like, with total consent. Kiwifarms was pushed to Tor web with this very method.
If Josh were Russian, the Rozkomnadzor would've just gotten him v&.
