PL I've replaced a couple of carpets over the years, one being for a sickly looking woman who owned ferrets. She let them roam around her bedroom freely and let me fucking tell you something; When any animal that isn't a dog is living in your house they piss and shit everywhere, ferrets specifically are extremely bad. When I was doing demo on the carpet and ripping it up; I found little piles of ferret shit in the corners of her room and when I pulled the carpets up I was able to see stains stretching across the entire bedroom OF FUCKING FERRET PISS. These little hell spawn had been pissing all over her carpet every time they were let out of their enclosure in her room.

(you can see stains on the undersides of carpets really easily, This was the best picture I could find of that but it was way way worse than this and there were a few little blood stains as well)

It was one of the foulest fucking smells imaginable even when I had just walked into her house my fucking eyes were watering. It burns like soap in your eyes, even as I was pulling the carpet up and it got on to my skin it started burning my fucking skin and I had to leave the job to go buy some chemical gloves and a long sleeve shirt. So yeah, these "cute" little animals are actually piss and shit demons with depraved fucked up owners who are so fucked they can't tell that the urea is literally killing them.

Also I got to meet some of them and held one and it literally radiated the same disgusting smell, It was something akin to wet dog food or spoiled fish with a hint of Cinnamon. Absolutely fucking disgusting all around I can't even dream what "Thor"'s house smells like or how far gone he is to live in those kinds of conditions.

The thesis, if you don't want to read all that shit, is that making games is actually very easy and you need little to no skill whatsoever to do it. He then posts a bunch of videogames nobody has heard of and a few heavy hitters to make his point. The saccharine tone combined with the utter confidence in being so totally wrong really put me off.
If you want to know why this is wrong, (if it isn't already obvious), the best response to this attitude is a video by Acerola. He wisely doesn't call out Thor specifically, but he does call out game development influencers who try to undersell the difficulty of making a game, which includes Thor.

I don't think the website's thesis is entirely wrong, Like if you are weak in some of those skills you can still compensate for it if you plan out a project that plays to your strengths and limit the scope of things that involve your weaknesses. Like there are plenty of indie games with minimalist art where I muted the music 3 minutes in and still thoroughly enjoyed. The problem is this website reads more like "You don't need to be competent at anything, just NEET off of your nepo-money until you get a successful grift going like I did."
