EU Founder and CEO of encrypted messenger Telegram questioned in France - Telegram founder Pavel Durov detained on arriving in France from Azerbaijan. shit is VERY BAD

Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of the encrypted messaging Telegram, was arrested around 8 p.m. this Saturday evening when he got off his private jet on the Tarmac of Bourget Airport. This 39-year-old, this Franco-Russian was accompanied by her bodyguard and a woman.

The arrest was carried out by the gendarmes of the GTA (gendarmerie of air transport). Boarded at the FPR (File of Les Persons sought), Pavel Durov arrived straight from Azerbaijan. Above the head he had a French research mandate issued by the OFMIN of the National Directorate of the French Judicial Police issued on the basis of a preliminary investigation.
Why was he under the threat of a research mandate?
Justice considers that the absence of moderation, cooperation with the police and the tools proposed by Telegram (disposable number, cryptocurrencies ...) makes it accomplice of drug trafficking, pedocriminal offenses and scam.

This research mandate ran if, and only if, Pavel Durov was on the national territory. "He committed a dumpling tonight. We don't know why ... was this flight only a step? In any case, he is boxed!", Slips a source close to the investigation at TF1/ LCI. Since he had known himself persona non grata in France, Pavel Durov used to travel to the Emirates, in the countries of the ex-USSR, in South America ... He traveled very little in Europe and avoided the countries where Telegram is under surveillance.

And now ?
Investigators of the ONAF (National Antifraude Office attached to the Customs Department) notified him and placed him in police custody. It should be presented to an investigating judge this Saturday evening before a possible indictment on Sunday for a multitude of offenses: terrorism, narcotics, complicity, fraud, laundering, concealment, pedocriminal content ...

"Pavel Durov will end up in pre -trial detention, for sure," comments an investigator from TF1/LCI. "On his platform, he suggested an incalculable number of crimes and crimes for which he does nothing to moderate or cooperate," analyzes a source close to the file.

His pre -trial detention at the end of his indictment is in fact no doubt. Pavel Durov, a billionaire, has substantial means for fleeing and its guarantees of representation will hardly convince the judges.

A draft to international resonance
For investigators, this draft with international resonance with various objectives. First, it allows you to kick the anthill, impress and dissuade the authors of crimes and crimes which, so far freely, on Telegram. Then, they aim to put pressure on European countries to accentuate the common work to bend the encrypted messaging on terrorist files.

Indeed, Telegram is a hive for criminal content. At the moment, the platform is making the news with the illegal broadcast of Ligue 1. matches but on this encrypted messaging, many accounts are used by organized crime. Beyond terrorism, the most dangerous pedocriminals communicate on Telegram to exchange content. "For years it has become the number 1 platform for organized crime," comments an investigator.

reminder that Telegram has been giving Russian authorities access to data since 2020 and Russian authorities have been using this data to go after activists
Good!

How I sleep knowing that a bunch of CIA plants, (((activists))), and LGBT sodomites are rotting in a Russian jail cell:

These already exist, so go use Matrix if you want to be an edgy dissident and talk about whatever you were talking about on Telegram. E2EE should always be used if you require privacy (and it's supported by Matrix) but it's not sufficient when governments can mandate that service providers lie and modify their client to leak unencrypted messages without telling users.
I usually do not recommend people to use Matrix. It is buggy as hell, I do not see it having a future. It is good for privacy, but I constantly get bugs and errors with it.

why the fuck did anyone ever trust this app when anyone from the company that runs telegram can intercept the messages.
The main reason many people began to use it was due to the lack of moderation compared to social media. I followed plenty of banned accounts from twitter over to telegram in the 2016-2020 period. Anyone with the slightest bit of common sense understands that these platforms offer no privacy, but they do offer the chance to promote information and ideologies that certain people don't approve of and don't allow on mainstream platforms.

It's about:
- not giving French glowtards access to personal chats
- not banning certain things upon French glowtards' request

How came that Durov was unaware of the charges is beyond my imagination. And if he was aware why he did landed in France is beyond my imagination either.
I'd say they also wanted access to the pedophile group chats.

For the sake of justice of course 😉

You don't insult the greatest ally (no matter how one sided it is) and get away with it You don't point out that Jews are doing exactly the things they're doing that people hate them for and get away with it.
Right?

I am curious how much longer it will be until a decent number of people in western society tell them to stop being such fucking Jews, aka 6 Gorillion 2.0.

literal terrorists actually do use telegram to communicate but we know that they're not the reason the French are charging this guy
If legitimate governments (or is it “legitimate” governments? Or legitimate “governments”?) are arresting secure communication platform CEOs because crime may or may not be organized on said platform, then “terrorism” is entirely warranted. People who make decisions like this should lose sleep nightly over when (not if) a mob will arrive at 2 AM to rape and murder their entire families.

The act of government censoring speech is the greatest indicator of that speech’s necessity.

what a coincidence
Anti-Israel hackers have released troves of classified data: Haaretz (archive)

Telegram channel of DDoSecrets shut down shortly after publication of Israeli ministry of justice 'leak' (archive)

Telegram did sweep up at least one major channel publishing Israel leaks. I doubt France was prodded to do this by the Joos within the week it happened. France was already investigating Telegram and seized the opportunity to nab the CEO.

Telegram app founder Pavel Durov to appear in court after arrest in Paris (archive)
Durov is accused of failing to take action to curb the criminal use of his platform and was stopped after arriving in Paris from Baku on his private jet on Saturday night. “Enough of Telegram’s impunity,” said one investigator who expressed surprise that Durov flew to Paris knowing he was a wanted man.

He should’ve either stayed somewhere else in Eastern/Southeastern Europe or gone to Southeast Asia. I don’t expect the EU to last in its current form within the next decade or two. There’s a real chance that we see another East/West split if the EU decides to bite off more than it could chew of its member states’ sovereignty and it instead reforms as a specifically Western/Northwestern European bloc where they can be as censorious and lame as they want without uppity easterners who still have Communist Party rule in living memory.

So what country is safe to live in if you're gonna be a tech-bro that's uncooperative with ZOG? Switzerland? Somewhere that's uncooperative with US extradition like Vietnam?
From The Guardian article above:
Durov lives in Dubai, where Telegram is based, and holds citizenship of France and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He recently said he had tried to settle in Berlin, London, Singapore and San Francisco before choosing Dubai, which he praised for its business environment and “neutrality”.
I doubt the United Arab Emirates is perfect, but he was unmolested there. UAE and the other Gulf Cooperation Council states have no extradition treaty with the US.

Doesn't the UAE happily cooperate with NATO glowies? It's one thing to hide there if your Andrew Tate but if you're actually gonna rustle ZOG jimmies is it safe?

Trying to get some of my normie IRL friends to ditch Telegram but I'm not sure if I should direct them to Signal or Threema.

Davos is literally in Switzerland, but Vietnam might be a good place. They don't like chinks either so they probably won't cave to Xi as well
