IIRC, there was a "joke" passing around the subreddit about a sex update, which eventually spiraled into the game getting review-bombed (to some extent, not sure how much) because there was no sex update.
Not that I'm giving the developers any leeway here, I still think they're willing faggots to cave into a ridiculous demand like this, but I don't think they would've added it if the game wasn't being hit with negative reviews on Steam.

I thought new blood is mostly a publishing company? the only game that I know they've made is Dusk, and i think gloomwood maybe? Amid Evil, Ultrakill, and others are independently made with minimal oversight by new blood AFAIK.
