I don't give a shit about Barbie, but I can't help but find this decision monumentally stupid. Even disregarding Barbie's "unobtainable" body or whatever the fuck the pigs go on about, Schumer looks nothing like the part. She's blonde and female. The similarities end there. It'd be like if they cast Kevin James in a live-action He-Man movie solely because "he's a guy, and He-Man is a guy." It'd be fucking stupid.
If they wanna go with the storyline that she's kicked out of "Barbieland" because of some imperfection or other (Amy Schumer? Imperfect? Perish the thought!), fine. It's their money. Even then, though, there's like a billion other actresses that'd be a better fit for the role than Schumer. Again, I don't give a shit about Barbie so this doesn't ruin my childhood in any way, I just can't wrap my head around the idea that someone thought casting HER was a good idea.
