Nintendo Switch (Currently Plagued) - Here we shit post about the new Nintendo console, The Switch

Also I can't fucking believe they are going to put Kiwami but not 0 on the Switch. The whole point of Kiwami was for you to play 0 first then play Kiwami. U wont know much of the characters or who they are unless you play 0 first. What a stupid decision. Also 0 is just a much better game. U get to play both Kiryu and Majima. 0 has more content and is just an overall better game.

BEST PART OF THE DIRECT IS NO SILKSONG!!!! A+++ DIRECT
Eh, a lot of people started with Y1 and didn't play Y0. I started with OG Yakuza, and Y0 honestly seems a bit redundant, given we already got the backstory in the first game.

Tetris Collection sounds cool, but where is Tetris Terror Instinct ?
Who knows? There are at least five more games in the collection we don’t know about, maybe that’s one of them (probably not).
Also, the Direct didn’t show it, but one of the games is a recreation of the very first version of Tetris on the Electronika 60. Neat.

That's different. Yakuza 1 PS2 is a good place to start. But Kiwami is a remake of that game with elements and references to Yakuza 0. So a lot of ppl who start with Kiwami won't know who Majima was. Majima was so popular from 0 that the Majima everywhere shit was put into Kiwami to please Majima fans. Then if they move onto Kiwami 2 and play the Majima sidestory they won't know who Makoto Makimura was. Even Kiwami 2 makes references to 0.

U can even buy the Yakuza Origins bundle which comes with 0, Kiwami 1 and 2. Ur supposed to play them in that order. I just don't understand why they wouldn't put 0 first. Would've been better if they put Yakuza 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and Dead Souls (dont hate me) on the Switch. It's strong enough to run all of those games at a high frame rate.

I can say the same thing for Trails of Cold Steel 1 and 2. Why the fuck aren't those games on Switch!?!?! But 3 and 4 are!?!? Wtf

Blame XSeed. They handled the first two games and completely fucked it up to the point that NIS had to take over.
Thats for worse than better because NIS is fucking gay and is lazy as shit. They take too long to localize games and they shove unfunny reddit humor, inaccurate translations/typos and shove woke propganda into Trails games. Just look at Trails Into Reviere and Daybreak. The same shit that happened to Fire Emblem is now affecting Trails games. I hate localizers so fucking much. They need to be curb stomped like the niggers they are.

I don't want to call you a fake fan but dude, what game do you think Majima debuted in?

I'm well aware when Majima made his first appearance. I'm saying that Nintendo Switch players who are starting the Yakuza franchise with Kiwami and NOT 0 won't know who Majima was BEFORE he became the Mad Dog Of Shimano. Because they haven't played 0. They won't know about his "Lord Of The Night" Persona. Only his "Mad Dog" Persona.

Same thing can be said about Kiryu. They won't know about how Kuze, Tachibana and Nishki affected him in Yakuza 0. Hell they won't know just how close Nishiki and Kiryu were in Yakuza 0. And how hard this scene was.
Imagine being a Nintendo Switch fan and u play Kiwami's final boss fight without having this scene in the back of your mind. Fuck off.

Nintendo is apparently popping up at PAX West.

Rate me dumb for not expecting it, but hasn't Nintendo been absent from almost all physical showcases for quite a while now? I know that they didn't go to E3 for the entire last decade of that expo's life for sure, and I don't remember hearing much about their participation in other showcases at all either. Last I remember them doing stuff like this, my age was still written in single-digits. I thought they just exclusively to Directs and COVID gave them a great excuse to keep doing just that.

Very odd timing when combined with the indie world + partner showcase so recently, too. I wonder if that Direct was made to get the "smaller" announcements out of the way like they sometimes do before major ones?
I'm interested to see what they showcase regardless. I highly doubt it'll be a Switch 2 reveal or anything that spectacular, but it would be interesting to get some more details on stuff like that new Zelda game or some Pokémon titles (I'm aware that they're not the same thing, but Pokémon also has a booth at the event and there's no way they won't have any kind of cross-promotion going on at their stalls. Especially with Z-A probably being one of the Switch's first-party releases and having so little info on it atm.)

My current idea is that they'll have some gameplay demos of games they announced earlier in the year and maybe some small announcements for tinier titles or features in already-revealed ones. Probably nothing too major. Would be neat if there was, though, so I'm holding out a bit of cautious hope.

Their last E3 presentation was in 2012, but they had a presence on the show floor all the way until E3 stopped doing physical events.

Still no definitive news about when the next generation of this console might hit the market?
