Was going to post this in the KC thread but honestly it's a good general topic too...

Now that we're just about at the end of the month, plus with KC on vacation I don't see it changing much, here's a trend chart of how many times Phil said "casino", credit to PigPigGo:

I know it's hard to read since it's pretty low up until recently but the stats that are hilarious:

• 2587 tracked mentions of the word "casino" from 2011-August 2024
• Of that 2587, 660 occurred in August, so over 25%
• If you take out days off & combine missed streams as a day off, Phil said "casino" at least 28 times a day across 23 days.
• PigPigGo cannot handle the word "wife" and obviously "Kat" will get mixed results too, but I would bet she's not winning that contest.

Keep in mind that this isn't perfect, nor does it include when DSP just started calling them by first name since they're boys, so it's probably on the low end.

For those also wondering, "felted" is harder to track since all forms of the word are included, but felt in any tense had it's highest month ever in August (up over 100% vs July). Another good one is "kino", which went from 11 mentions unrelated to a game before July 25th to 29 mentions just between July 26-31 (this saga is the fake family quote about DSP, when KC sent support & viewers to DSP's DSP after he had been hanging out in their chat, and when we got the classic quote "equal opportunity razzers") to 330 mentions in August.

Seething is another weird one, but it isn't that high, only about 30 times, which destroys every month except March 2020 when he was playing Nioh 2 and apparently it had a seething dragon. Coping just doesn't track, and it gave a bunch of results from Days Gone, which I guess had a guy named Copeland in it.

I think certain terms just break the site if you go through the search bar. Sometimes if you do it just by editing the address

Yeah, I know it's an old clip. But sometimes, classics are classic for a reason.

The only problem is that the reason why DSP's guest appearances are worth anything is because of how much of a hermit he is.

Just him popping up and interacting with human beings draws an audience.

The more he does it, the lest novel it is, and then what matters is the kahntent of the conversation taking place, and that is where DSP falls flat on his face. All he can do is filibuster with pre stream garbage and be awkward, it's extremely hard to get him to do anything else, and when you actually manage him prod him on, chances are he will just tell a very obvious and unnecessary lie for no reason.

The point of diminishing returns for guest appearances is fast approaching.

In the long run, you've got three ways this could go:

1) Craig and Phil's interview goes the way of the Keem appearance, everyone just kisses each other's ass, and boredom rapidly sets in. I think Phil gets maybe one more of these lifeless interviews before people start tuning out and realize he has nothing to offer other than talking about himself.

2) Phil continues to let KC tard-wrangle him and guide him into owning the memes. So he keeps playing Champions on stream, he continues to be a drama streamer, keeps fighting with anyone he thinks he can bully. I can see this working for a while longer, but I'm not sure Phil's ego can handle embracing being a lolcow. Maybe it can. Maybe the money will drive him to Keem's arms. Will the money allow KC to keep calling Phil a pedo-harboring scumbag the way they did during the Derich part of the Null appearance? He would have disowned anyone else who talked down to him like that...how long can Phil's narc ego handle it?

3) Someone snaps on Phil, embarrasses him again in an interview, tells him the joke is up, and drives him back to his safe space, even more bitter and paranoid than before.

I think it is possible for DSP to grow a bigger audience but that audience is limited to lolcow/lolcow adjacent viewers. He'll never blow up like a normal person. His only chance to grow and have it stick is leaning into being a lolcow. He will not blow up like a normal person because at the end of the day when he is just playing games on DSP space Gaming it's the worst stream on earth. Normal people will never watch DSP, like him, donate, and stay around long term. He thinks already that he has broken out of the bubble and can actually talk to someone like Max. He's delusional. The battle between money and ego over this lolcow conundrum will be interesting to watch.

I gotta say it folks. Not sure how The King is going to make it this upcoming week. The odds are very against him. His new boyfriends won't be around while this is happening, and Craig, unlike Keemstar, doesn't have much of an interest in being on Phil's good graces.

However, we know Pigroach's luck is real and also underwhelming, so my prediction is thus: Phil will retcon the fuck out of the documentary instantly. Now, the question here is, how is he going to try to debunk all these instances of him being an asshole while also keeping the whole King shit? He can't play the "I've changed" card anymore because he either looks like a pussy or embraces it fully and confirms he hasn't changed. Not that it will matter to his viewers, but since he's desperate for external validation, he kinda screwed that one already.
As for Craig, I'm not sure how that could play out. For one, I doubt Craig is up to date with the recent Phil lore, nor he has anything to gain from this interaction. I doubt he'll try or manage to get Phil back on SC.

Only way this becomes kinda interesting is if Phil tries to play the whole King schtick with Craig and he just tells him it's embarrassing or something, but we know Phil is non-confrontational so it'll probably other semen slurping fest like the Keemstar thing. Adam could save the whole thing by going there and calling out Phil again while he goes back to the squeaky voice, but I can't see Phil letting him in.

There's no reason for Craig/Adam to suck up to Phil. Keem and KC are doing this for content. SS doesn't need to do this for content. I think Craig/Adam are gonna go hard on him with "You wanted us to give you an interview, we did, and you went in and gave us no evidence to believe you." I'm hoping that Craig/Adam look into the current arc and tell Phil to his face that he's getting smoke blown up his ass for content. They'll definitely go after him for bringing the king shit back and doing a 180 on the drama content. Bonus points if it's pointed out that Null asked almost the exact same questions that they did.

Next up, we're seeing the late stages of the vest streak returning. Phil's making 20-30 bucks a stream and a single whale is coming in and dumping the remaining 100+ to keep it going. That's not to mention that I think PPP is doing the math and if he's done the math, then he would've figured out that him and warski have lost $6k+ on the fact that their paypigs are stupidly giving this guy money. That's a lot of weed, sports bets, and boxed wine that that could buy. I think they're just about done with Phil between the lost income and the fact that they got what they wanted by owning RTU and getting someone like Null to grill Phil. That's probably 1 of the reasons why they took this vacation, to give their paypigs some time to sour on Phil.

Neither of these things are the case, he's demonstrably low IQ and is absolutely autistic (anyone doubting this after seeing in person how obsessed he is with WWEC is retarded, imagine sinking 7 YEARS and tens of thousands into that shit), both of which impact his ability to convey information to an audience in an educational fashion.

Autistic people develop these insane fixations and will inhale knowledge on their subject of choice, but most cannot actually teach others about it because they don't understand how normal people think or learn because they've got no/poor Theory of Mind. They just rattle off facts without considering the way you have to create a foundation level understanding for an individual to get what the fuck they're saying. But Phil is too busy bumrushing the mythical Level 7 so he can do whatever FOMO nonsense event, rather than thinking about how a new account is a great way to teach the fundamentals, and taking time to explain it to people.
