At this point the ONLY source that tells us the "kids are back at home" is still Nick at this point.

It is entirely possible that is true, but I can also see them still being placed with relatives for the time being with parents being allowed to visit without state supervision.
And a GAL still supervises the whole proceeding to give an opinion, because no matter what Nick claims, that case is not just "closed", it will accompany them for a while yet, especially because there is still a criminal case open that includes at least one child.

I wish the kids the best and that they have a stable family life again, but given Nick's behavior I have a feeling that Nick still has not realized that his behavior in the past weeks is not a net positive.

I guess there are a lot of things Aaron's lawyer can ask about during the trial for revenge porn.

- if she sent nudes to all of them?
- if she ever allowed someone to show her nudes to other people?
