I picked up a kitten from a lady who said the whole litter had been weaned. As soon as I got home and held the kitten, I knew it was still nursing. It smelled like milk (more the idea of milk than actual milk) and warm sunlight. Turns out the kitten wasn't reliably eating solid food at all and I had to hand-feed the kitten for some time but that's another story. I could smell if the kitten walked into the room, if the kitten even was hiding under the bed or not. None of the men in the house could smell it.

I have never had children and I don't spend time around infants or toddlers.
