These games are what you call "safe anti-capitalism".

You don't ever actually get to take down a megacorp or kill bankers and shit which is actually based. I can't think of any woke games where you actually kill capitalists or fight the problem where it would actually hurt them.

You quite literally just have characters who'll say a single quip or line about a very "safe" topic of capitalism like muh student loans or muh food delivery prices but nothing that actually matters. Usually it's not even that it's just straight up IdPol.

If only we got a Cyberpunk game where you avenge every single American GI who died in the Pacific and Pearl Harbor go Total Jap Corpo Death and strangle every single Arasaka employee with their own guts because they're filthy slants- I MEAN, they're rich fags who popularized their smelly sushi to everyone.
Now that I think about it this is very true. Most of the games either set up a bad guy like "handsome jack" or a "mister house" type figure and the idea is that once you get rid of them then all the bankers and mega corps fall in line and you have the land of milk and honey.
In other games you're fighting against "the mindset" like in Life Is Strange 3 where you're up against the Drumpf supporter which beats up kids because they're not American.

But you never have "The Banker" As the villain. The only exception to this that I can think of is "the witcher 1" where one dwarf was funding an insurection in the kingdom, and you can choose to help him or have him arrested.
I wonder if they will remove this quest line in the remake.

Well, the Syndicate FPS game has you go to war against an entire megacorp alongside a black woman. But its not what you'd call a modern woke game.

And Cyberpunk 2077 has you storm Arasaka Tower and unleash a homicidal quasi-AI against everyone inside. Shame Yorinobu gets to Saburo before we could though. If the man is so intent on being the last holdout of WW2, we should have him die like one.

I think everyone expected this game to bomb, but don't think anyone expected to bomb this hard. Before was questioning if it could make a year before closing down, right now questioning if it can make the rest of 2024.

Anyone remember the other upcoming Sony GAAS game. I didn't until I heard someone bring it up few days ago in relation to this game.
1 year old CGI trailer, no news since. Likes to dislike, is 3.4k vs 17k

That one has flop all over it as well, but I doubt Sony will do the smart thing Sega did with Hyenas rather than throwing more good money after bad. Maybe they will make that one F2P, least people have a reason to check it out out of curiosity rather than risk $40 on a game which may have no players.

LOL HOLY SHIT THEY'RE KILLING IT ALREADY
