Radian Ramjet but integral, one day every pistol will be compensated unless suppressed
No they wont. Only if you're a weakling. I have shot a g19 with ramjet + afterburner and it made zero difference in my perception of recoil and accuracy. Because i have a proper grip with enough strength to properly control recoil.

One day, no AR bolt's will be Milspec, everything will have Lobster tail extractors, dual ejectors, enhanced bolt lugs, cam pin holes to accompany enhanced campath geometry on the enhanced carrier.
I hope not. It's not bad, per se, to have alter some elements of the AR bolt, but most guys don't know how changes there require changes elsewhere. It's creating a headache for lots of people that's unnecessary.

It could be because I was fudd-indoctrinated by Thunder Ranch in '06, but I'm not a fan of comps on non-race guns.

The Centurion V2 uses a milspec barrel extension, The Centurion E4 uses a KAC barrel extension. The Centurion is also much cheaper than an E-bolt ($380 from anyone who isn't LMT) or even a Geissele Stressproof ($250 vs $125 and comes with dual ejectors). This doesn't mean that the V2 is even say, 80% as good as either of them in any given metric (lifespan of the bolt itself, extraction, ejection) but it clearly means you can get 3 V2's for the price of 1 E-bolt. Whether that's a good deal will require several years of testing and tens of thousands of rounds by maybe a dozen different people.
No they wont.
Yeahhuh!

Is Chuck Pressburg a weakling? (Admittedly his primary intent in attaching the KKM comp to the original Roland Special was keeping carbon off the lense of his X300 but a flatter shooting gun was a noted and measurable side effect, which indicates that there is a level of mechanical advantage in performance that can complement and improve upon pure physiological performance).

As Aaron Cowan has (essentially) said, there is no Blue Ribbon for being a big tough strong man who only ever shoots +P++, Firearms should not have recoil nor muzzle flip, the only reason they do is the laws of physics and practical considerations.

The ever increasing amount of factory comped handguns produced by a variety of manufacturers (Sig, S&W, FN, Springfield, Shadow Systems) and aftermarket recoil reduction solutions (PMM, Radian, Agency Arms, Rogue Gun works Alpha 6, Shalotek, Fdez werx and many more) indicates to me that the defensive pistol industry has reached the next step in handgun evolution. First there were light rails, then MRDS mounts and soon Compensation

I had a birthday recently and went to my LGS to look at their wares. I’ve been debating getting a 1911 so I can add a .45ACP to my collection or getting a G19 MOS so I can have a pistol with the same mag compatibility as my Ruger PCC.

Long story short I was reminded my LGS has one of those silencershop kiosks and I think I’m gonna get a suppressor instead. The counter guy said wait times are still somewhat reasonable (back up to like 2mos or something) but the shekel savings are a big draw (free shipping, no transfer fee if it’s a suppressor ordered on the silencershop website). Only things I’m curious about are, how much of a PITA is it to file a change of address with the ATF after buying an NFA item? And I think I’ve asked before but is it a true fact that once I buy an NFA item, it will legally permit the ATF to come to my house at any time to “check in” and make sure I didn’t sell it or illegally transfer it?

I’m still not dissuaded from buying one mostly because I think they’re neat.

it's one form. it should be filed prior to exporting the NFA item across state lines. it will not be approved if the NFA item is not legal for you to possess in the new state.

no. an FFL (federal firearms license) does allow for ATF visits to inspect the premises listed on the license (yes, including even the C&R) because it is a business license for the most part and like any other business license, it is regulated through compliance inspections and audits, and these compliance visits do not require prior notice.

an NFA item is a tax stamp. you might be demanded to produce the NFA item for inspection, but you will get a letter/call to arrange a time/place for this inspection, and it is functionally a warrant execution/subpoena motion granted and it is extremely rare. the few situations where you can get an unexpected ATF visit is when you are being very dumb in public with NFA items or you blabbed to an idiot who ratted you out.

don't act dumb, and don't associate with rats.

this is some weird fuddlore that needs to die and predates the internet entirely and was never true, ever. i personally own around 200+ firearms, including 40-50 NFA items, and have been personally inspected twice: once at a public range that resulted in the arresting officer getting fired for being dumb, and once for my C&R compliance check on a C&R NFA item that had no serial number (SN's were not mandated prior to 1968, and this NFA item has a guy's SSN on it). the latter situation i had prior notice like a week in advance.

I meant more like a move from one address to another within the same county, but I’m assuming that filling out that form is still legally required. Thank you for the rest of the info though, I’m glad I can stop worrying about fuddlore.

Polymer80 went bankrupt today thanks to legal costs incurred defending against frivolous lawsuits filed by Bloomberg.

Pro gun orgs should sue him in a 2A friendly court where a jury would award damages that make Alex Jones’ look reasonable. A trillion dollars sounds fair to me.
I think this will spawn 100 more similar companies in it's place

same form, less chance of being rejected. it's also worth noting that for a while it was popular to put NFA items into a trust. for trusts and other legal entities there is some additional paperwork dealing with the trust's address change as well.

for clarity, be sure to file and obtain the approved form prior to moving, the form number is 5320.20

Yeah I was thinking about putting this first suppressor I buy on the silencershop “single shot trust” thing, mostly so I can have my fiancée authorized to use/own it after we get married if I ever get killed at work

Hope so man, this shit ruined my week.

I got some of the 76s because the site they came from were sold as 80s(before people really knew about 76s) and I think they were discounted to maybe $60. Fucked them all up, but somewhere I heard P80 had a limited number of the 80 blanks that they'd replace your 76s with. Jumped on that so I'm feeling pretty solid, but it's a bummer these cost so much now. No fucking way I'd pay 250+ for that shit, that'll legit buy you a printer. I guess there's Geisler, they seem like a solid option if you're cool with an Israel gun.

Anybody remember what these even sold for back in the day? I got into the game late, I think 2022 or so.

if I ever get killed at work
it also low key allows police to release the confiscated NFA items back to the trust rather than destroy them if someone goes to jail or has to be in prison or something. especially if it's dealing with courts that like to issue restraining orders - if it's a trust, that person can be removed from the trust and avoid confiscation typically since surrendering to the court is typically only required for personally owned firearms/NFA.
