Hey fellow Era, I just got out of the "Deadlock" beta and I'm still trying to process the sheer amount of problematic content in this game. As someone who's been following the hero shooter genre, I was excited to dive in and see what Valve had to offer. But what I got was a game that's stuck in the dark ages.

The character designs are straight out of a 90s action movie, with women being objectified and hyper-sexualized. The few POC characters are relegated to marginal roles and are basically just tokenistic. It's like Valve thought they could just phone it in and nobody would notice.

Meanwhile, I've been playing "Concord" and it's like night and day. The game is full of diverse characters, with women and POC in leading roles. The game's story is also way more nuanced and respectful. It's clear that the devs actually care about representation and diversity.

I'm seriously disappointed in Valve for dropping the ball like this. "Deadlock" could have been a great game, but instead it's just a relic of a bygone era. If you're looking for a hero shooter that actually gets it, play "Concord". Trust me, you won't regret it.

TL;DR: "Deadlock" is a racist and sexist mess, while "Concord" is a progressive and respectful game. Play "Concord" instead.

To be fair, there's an argument to be made that exclusive games are used to sell consoles and therefore you don't need to adjust the budget to sales expectations. It's not a GREAT argument by any chance and I strongly disagree with it, but you can argue that The Slop of Us doesn't need to sell a huge amount of copies because that shit is what drives people to pick up a Playstation and therefore they can have a retarded budget and deliver their sweet tranny bonding walking simulator with like better animation and improved stupid shit these people seem to like.

It is because they have echo chambered themselves to death. They have 0 reach. The game journos who hang out there are useless to them. Nobody fucking goes to the journo scums for game news now. They have hot take click baited themselves in to a side show. That nobody respects. Go in to any streamer with a large audience and type a game journo joke in. Everyone will laugh with you. The main promotion is streamers and Youtubers these days. Quartering has 60,000x the reach of some nutter ResetEra poster. They did it to themselves by banning everyone who was not left of Stalin. When Asmongold says your game is shit, it wipes $50m off your advertising budget.
Most of their "numbers" are already in their circle. They don't talk to normies. They all hang out on ResetEra, then post the same shit on GCJ subreddit. It pads out their numbers to WE IZ LEGION. But it is the same 10 faggots that posted in the ResetEra thread. Quartering posts a video and it gets people talking, spreading to people. That is why their boycotts failed. Taking Twitter away from them was the worse thing to happen to them. They can no longer sock spam a twitter account and make a company bend.

I just tried it. I just went in to youtube in a private window using a VPN while being logged out. First result for concord, is Asmon laughing and telling people to not buy the game, next up is all the anti-woke guys vids.
