Honestly, the biggest problem with the drought is that communities are selling their water to Los angeles. Like, a small town in the central Valley was allowing each farmer an average of 6 acre feet of water, then over three years of the drought and selling the water in Reservoirs to Los Angeles and San Francisco, farmers were reduced to 6 INCHES per acre foot. That is a HUGE difference. Land in Californias Central Valley has actually dropped up to 15 feet in some places due to the drought and he lowering watertable. But the businesses that "own" the water (MID, TID, KCID, etc) have enough cash to bulletproof all the glass in their offices because the are afraid of the farmers they are gyping.
Sorry, but LA really needs to stop buying up all of Californian water.
