I think Null has mentioned Trayvon was his wake up call (/pol/ was so fun during that and Michael Brown).
..
The Internet was not as censored and people were just trying to break into their careers. You could talk about shit in a lot more places and could tell furfag liberals to kill themselves without being banned.
4chan was at peak during the Zimmerman/treyvon court cases. Especially when his stumblebum girlfriend came up to the stand. I don't think I've laughed harder on the internet since.

This might sound silly, but how did you guys and girls learn about politics, and when did you become conservative?
For all I know this could be a glowie op question to figure out how to prevent the creation of more kiwis, so I won't give specifics.

Instead I'll say I grew up with one parent who was more liberal and one parent who was more conservative. They didn't necessarily argue about politics in front of us kids but it was known that they disagreed and that it wasn't a big deal.

My mom always had a healthy level of skepticism in authority figures that I picked up on (she later said this wasn't intentional but was just how she felt) which I took with me wherever I went.

In high school I didn't fit in with any particular group so I drifted between irl and online communities. I would watch anti-theist videos, then go to church and engage in discussions on the bible. I'd read things like about how boys are struggling in america and some of the issues specific to them then listen as people discussed their pro-feminism views. I read about kooky conspiracy theories, and then about conspiracy theories that turned out to be true. I had more liberal friends and more conservative friends.

Whatever the perspective was I approached it as seriously as I could and with respect. Then I looked at the information that formed their decision. Then I tried to find primary sources to see how it lined up with the narrative.

I didn't take what each group said as fact, just as some information to consider. Usually I could take away at least one positive thing from each group.

Ultimately through this process I went with is essentially a people first, america first (because it's where I live therefore most important to me) view and don't think I'm super extreme on most issues. Except troons. TTD. I wouldn't call myself conservative or liberal. I never felt that politically aligned with candidates from either and thought they were all fags until Trump. CNN would probably call me ultra hitler.

It’s interesting because Zimmerman as a person was not a racist. He was fairly liberal and worked in mentoring black kids in his spare time. Once the narrative was spun up that he was then he was fucked. He couldn’t continue his life, they murdered him. The only people willing to give Zimmerman the time of day were people that the mainstream media already considered vile.

You also could see this narrative be crafted in real time. How Zimmerman was not a mixed Hispanic man, but a White (Hispanic) wannabe cop who violently pursued Trayvon. Then the Internet found Trayvon’s body building forum account and found out he was a thief who hates Mexicans. Also odds are he just went to the store to get stuff for leen.

At the same time, I wanna say Colbert said that reality has a left-wing bias or some shit. Brazenly mask off about how they control the media by denying they selectively frame things and instead reality works in their favor.

Oh hey new Barron lore drop:

Turns out he is the reason why Trump has been going on all these podcast. Kind of love that the old man is actually listening to his son on ideas on to reach Gen Z people.

God what a fucking goober. Bless.

Also good morning, kiwis. I see ass marbles were a topic of contention. Certainly wasn't ready for that one.

I’m not male so I can’t speak to the suitability of education as it exists now for boys from personal experience, but I have a boy child so this does interest me. Aside from increasing the number of male educators, what other changes could be made that would benefit male students?
Not talking about politics and all that bullshit would be a good start

Former top aide to New York Gov. Hochul charged with acting as foreign agent for China

  • A former top aide to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was arrested on federal charges accusing her of acting as an undisclosed agent of China and the Chinese Communist Party.
  • Linda Sun, who had been deputy chief of staff to Hochul, is charged with violating and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act, visa fraud, alien smuggling, and money laundering conspiracy.
  • Sun’s husband, Chris Hu, also was arrested on charges of money laundering conspiracy, as well as conspiracy to commit bank fraud and misuse of means of identification.

Ex-Hochul and Cuomo aide, husband acted as foreign agents for China: bombshell indictment

Back in late 2019, Mike Pompeo came out with some leaked Chinese intel, rating every US governor by their susceptibility to influence operations. Cuomo was the only democrat among the 6 governors rated F on susceptibility by the Chi-coms. This cunt went from a "deputy chief diversity officer" under Cuomo to to Deputy Chief of Staff under Hochul.

Cuomo was 100% kicked out of the Democrat party by the fucking Chinese and their agents. Total Commie Death, now.

Got a copy of that? I missed it

My paternal family radicalized me.

I posted this in another thread, so I'll just spoiler this long post again with some minor touch-ups:

My grandparents were both were Silent Generation people who grew up under FDR in New York City, though they lived most of their lives in New Jersey. Grandpa told me while he was alive that he was an Independent, but it seems like he was a Democratic Party sycophant most of his life. Their three kids (Baby Boomers), including my dad, are all Democrats. The 2016 election happened when I was seventeen, and for four years straight, because my grandparents watched MSNBC, I heard nothing for four years but pure Trump hate, especially after the media blew Charlottesville out of proportion. Every time I would speak up about my (budding right wing) beliefs, I would just get put down. I registered as a Republican when I turned 18, though I am now not a fan of either party after noticing patterns in politics and studying history via books I have read.

In my senior year of high school (I spent my formative years in Florida and still live there), the Parkland shooting happened, and I live in the same state. I was against the protests, but most of my paternal family was in favor, including my dad's Feminist girlfriend (my parents divorced when I was four). My grandmother once told me in a smug and rude tone, "Who do you think those Parkland kids are voting for, HMMMMMMM??" I was angry over that for a LONG time. I would talk about right wing things, and my dad's girlfriend would respond with Feminist talking points about things like the wage gap, false rape accusations, etc., and my dad would back her up. The Kavanaugh thing happened when I was in trade school, and that's another thing I had problems with the two of them over. My grandfather was the same way. After the NZ mosque got shot up, my aunt got into an argument with me over the phone over both Trump and the Second Amendment and screamed, "We're going to shut them ALL DOWN!!" when she mentioned 8chan getting kicked off the Internet, in reference to other "right wing" websites.

Then covid happened, and they all began to support the whole thing of "WEAR A MASK SAVE LIVES", and I got a LOT of grief from my grandparents because I was (and still am) the only one of them who didn't get jabbed. After a few months of covid being here, I began to see through the nonsense. My grandfather began to push me to wear a mask and get jabbed, and they STILL continued to believe every last word cable news told them. Dad watched it too and was a Bernie Bro for a while. All the while, I continued to read more and more books instead of watching any TV, and my grandparents kept filling their heads with propaganda all day. Because of all the reading I was doing, I was able to make my mind sharper, and I didn't fall for any more of the covid stuff. I went out to get a pizza with my grandfather one day, and as I was on my way back driving with him next to me, we somehow got into a discussion about the Second Amendment and, in a brazen display of willful ignorance and left wing tribalism I will never forget, screamed out, "Fully-automatic, semi-automatic, WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?!?!"

After the Ukraine situation started, my grandparents began to openly and vocally support Ukraine, and I pointed out that they're only doing it because the TV told them to and also how the media all hated Zelensky over the Trump phone call, but all of this went over my grandfather's head completely, and he doubled down. During this time, I got into a lot of shouting matches over hot button issues though I tried as much as I could to avoid discussing them with the two of them. One of the worst was when my grandfather was getting into it with me over how voter ID is "racist" and put out the idea of "some redneck" denying the right of a black man to vote and even put on a fake hillbilly accent to make his irate point. My uncle had sometime around the Ukraine thing sent my grandmother a crochet doll of a Ukrainian peasant. This is interesting, since she only has one Ukrainian grandparent that I know of, and she was acting like a full-blooded Ukrainian - she is also half Russian.

My grandfather died of complications from chemotherapy, and from what I hear up until the day he died he was watching MSNBC in the hospital. Some time ago, I overheard part of a conversation my dad, aunt, and grandmother were having at a dining room table (I was not sitting with them), and I heard my dad put on an exaggerated fake redneck accent to mock one of his cousin's in-laws from South Carolina who was opposed to certain racial language being taken out of American folk songs. I was so livid my face, throat, and arms were bright red. I told him about it later, and he just got angry and made fun of some of my personal tics.

So in short, my paternal family pushed me to the point where I am now incredibly right wing. I do not feel exactly the same on every single issue I argued with them over, though looking back it is so odd how someone can get so hostile towards a relative because they give you some entry level right wing political statement. I have moved past my anger at them, and I now look at politics differently now (I am against both parties and understand there are more political positions in the world other than liberal Democrat or American Republican), but I don't think I can talk that much about it - my uncle doesn't understand how Communism is a left wing ideology (just look at their writings and where that ideology came from - Karl Marx, who was inspired by the Jacobins). I would describe myself as a "Reactionary" now, but of course I can't talk about that with anyone.

Ok and how many will show up on election Day?
almost none of them. Trump getting his message on podcasts is more useful for pushing his ideas and legacy out to younger generations. thinking that young voters will matter every election is a trap that democrats keep falling into because they think the positive reception they get when they go to college campuses with their message of "being nice and getting free stuff is great" translates to manchildren who are living in lala land caring about voting. even when they do rope college kids into caring about politics it translates into protests and chaos, not votes

I’m not male so I can’t speak to the suitability of education as it exists now for boys from personal experience, but I have a boy child so this does interest me. Aside from increasing the number of male educators, what other changes could be made that would benefit male students?
at this point young boys would come out healthier and learn more positive social skills if we just sat them all in a factory and forced them to assemble cars using dangerous tools. fewer of them would come out of that experience with mental and physical issues than being subjected to the feminine brainwashing factories of modern schools

You're overcomplicating it. It's literally just an interest issue. The subjects are taught in a way more likely to interest girls, and the focus has become humanities heavy

"Humanities heavy" is what education was since the dawn of fucking time. 99% of poets and philosophers and translators and artists and musicians were men for the longest time. Humanities is traditionally the domain of men.

American math and science education as recently as the 1940s was incredibly limited. Algebra was the limit of what was taught in most schools. Many schools offered no science classes, or none that involved laboratory work.

Only the Russians putting up Sputnik I in 1957 caused the US to spend billions of dollars on math and science education, vastly expanding available classes in high schools.

The idea that there's some sort of inherent anti-humanities bias in men goes against thousands of years of recorded history. Women were rarities in both humanities and sciences topics. It is interesting, though, that post-Sputnik America chose to feminize the humanities very rapidly.

Men should be mad this legacy was taken from them. Instead, too many seemed happy to give up the very subject fields that were considered the apex of human thought for many generations of ancestors...all because the government propaganda said science was the true dominant religion now.

I had a teacher in high school who was retiring and gave 0 shits and one day he told the entire class, that no matter what we do in life "If Hillary Clinton ever runs for President, DO NOT VOTE FOR HER. She is a power hungry megalomaniac and will do awful things if ever elected President." and that stuck with me the rest of my life. I thought Trump was a joke in 2016 and said "Fuck it, for the lolz!" and he's been the best President of my lifetime. I had no idea back then what that would someday devolve into.
Sounds like a pretty based teacher. My teacher in 6th grade was a massive liberal and I remember her telling a girl “vote democrat. They help people.” If I could go back in time, I would 100% report her to the school for blatant brainwashing of a bunch of impressionable 12 year olds.

And I also learned years later that she was a pedophile.

My dad would watch political shows on tv and point out the jews. Then gamergate made me hate journalists. Then I ditched /r9k/ for /pol/ and lurked there during the 2016 election. This is why my posts are the absolute top of the line and well educated.
