I see it all the time in the political sphere, and you almost expect it there. When your bread is buttered by idiots only if you tell them what they want to hear, you learn the dogma real quick. Games really don't need to be that way, but I guess when you get high on your own supply and think "I need to make a difference!" you become susceptible to just repeating what your paypiggies want to hear, all while thinking you're changing the world. Still stings to see in action.

And even in a VA sense, the lead comes across as especially bad to me. Like a generically Black lady only recorded her lines once and left it at that. Didn't bother to even take direction and no one was willing to try to give her context to why she's saying lines or combat grunts. It's probably true of the entire cast, but it's more noticeable with her due to the amount of narration she does.

I watched Brote's stream of this game. There's just too much going on at the same time; it wants you to be reading shit and pressing buttons while listening to five women talk about nothing. All of the characters move like robots, and no one looks cool or memorable, which is a problem if you want anyone to give a shit about it. Say what you want about Concord, but a black tranny with huge odango hair and pink sunglasses is much more interesting than some fat negress with cum stains on her face.

Not gonna lie, I have the feeling there's a modder out there who'd reverse the character models so that Pax and co. becomes the baddies while some Justice personnel become the protagonists.
