Has there been any information yet on how he procures his firearm? From what I understand of American gun law is that a felon cannot own firearm (his mother is a felon), you cannot purchase firearms in Colorado unless you have license (the kid is under the age to apply for one), and he is not living with his dad anymore (no gun access from him). Correct me if I’m wrong because I’m going off from a minute of googling, but isn’t Colorado one of the stricture states on gun law?

Georgia. And I’m pretty sure in that part of Georgia you can trip and fall on top of a gun. Sounds like the kids were back with the father who admitted to having hunting rifles last year when the FBI investigated, but who really knows at this point.

When was the felony conviction? After a certain amount of time has lapsed, it's possible to apply for a pardon/restoration of rights, so not completely off the table that it was legal.

The aunt on faceboook said the kid’s mom threatened the grandma that she would kill the kid, herself and her husband.

Not just threatened, she tied the grandmother to a chair for hours. If she does that psycho violent shit to her mom I shudder to think what she did to her son.

I've been thinking about the problem of school shootings in America and I don't think it can be solved. I've thought about all the options:
Take away all the firearms? It's physically impossible.
Transfer retarded and aggressive children to special schools? It's expensive, it will require many special schools, and it goes against "inclusivity".
Fight bullying as one of the main causes? No one wants to wish for that, "boys will be boys, and goys will be goys".
Remove violence from the media altogether, so that it doesn't become commonplace? Oh no, that's sacred! That can't be touched!
Transfer children to 100% distance learning? Parents and teachers will be strongly against it. Parents - because the child will hang around at home all day and get underfoot. Teachers - because they will be fired immediately.

Another option is to get rid of all the children in the US, but that's super stupid...

All that's left is to accept it.
