The purpose of the left is revolution. They always need a new front of "progress" to push after the last one. The problem is that they've run out of things that at least sound sane, so they've moved on to cutting off children's body parts, letting criminals rob and rape at will, and opening the border to drug cartels.

I think the next thing they should do is rebel against gravitational oppression and jump off the roofs/out the windows of very tall buildings to protest.

Then, once it was passed, the left broke the compromise. So why should the right allow "legal" to be on the table, if "rare" isn't? If you had told the right back in the day that over 95% of abortions were just women who got pregnant and decided it was too big of a pain in the ass to have a kid and being pregnant was making it hard for them to slut around, they would have NEVER, EVER, allowed the compromise. You would have seen shit like "abortions require a judge to sign off on it" or something similar to prevent -- or at least slow, since we're very obviously being culturally engineered into this degeneracy -- the modern "abortion trucks outside the DNC" situation we're in.

I guess it depends who he wins and their voting prospensitg, for example he can win the votes of young black men and it wouldn’t matter half as much as winning the votes of middle aged black women.

This principle is something I've used to convert a few normies into being Trump supporters; the man doesn't believe in grifting off forever issues. Almost every politician is repulsed by the thought of solving an issue because then they can't campaign, fundraise, and bloviate about it until the end of time. Not Trump- maybe he sees through the grift, maybe his years of doing actual business makes him reflexively hate deadlocks, maybe he cares more about actually helping than political points - whatever.

It forced his hand. He was probably going to try and moderate the issue as much as possible, with a watered down decision to maintain as much status quo as possible. He's a huge 'the Court is above politics, we're so centrist and neutral uwu' and 'muh decorum' fag - so much so that he fucks over any decision that could cause controversy even when contrary to justice. He's got to keep getting invited to those fancy DC parties!

However, when some leftist working for one of the commie judges released the conservative draft opinion to try and create leverage, Roberts was in a fix. If he forced the Court to shift the final opinion from the leaked draft, he looks so weak and pliable that it would invite more leaks and pressure. Without the leak, he might have taken action on his own initiative, but with that leak he couldn't do it without losing all his power as Chief Justice. The commies thought he enjoyed the Court's neutral prestige more than his personal power, and they misjudged him.

Thats why they never released the results of the investigation - Chief Roberts found out who it was that leaked, wrapped up the results tighter than a vise, and now is holding that over the perpetrators. It was all a move to secure his personal and institutional power as Chief Justice. He's a faggot that doesn't give a shit about Justice or the Constitution, but he sure as shit looks out for number one (himself).
