Oh Nick is thinking beyond that. His strategy will be to frame it as saving Aaron. He "won't be able to talk about it" but he'll say Aaron's legal troubles regarding 1st wife, domestic violence with April, drug use, etc, etc, are only a small portion of everything.

I opened my home at a time when his show was failing and his marriage was falling apart. He needed money and support. We were working very hard to get Aaron and April clean. April was trying but Aaron didn't want to work on it. Aaron blamed everyone but himself for all his problems. We finally had to stop having him over the house when he threatened to blackmail everyone with false accusations. We didn't know why he was taking naked pictures of people in the house but we knew he needed to go. At least we rescued April from that and got her out of the cycle of drug use and domestic violence. April was so afraid of being hurt when she hid the coke and moly. Aaron went through all her stuff and dumped it on the driveway in the rain during one of these rages. What's weird is that we both thought that April would be more difficult to convince to leave that lifestyle. Kayla and I still pray that Aaron gets a million bucks and the help he needs.
Which is surprising considering Nick had an embarrassing encounter regarding ribs.
2019-05-23: Nick's Embarrassing Rib Story
During a stream on May 23rd, 2019 Kayla was asked about embarrassing stories about Nick. Kayla couldn't think of anything at the time since Nick "doesn't embarrass easily" so Nick decided to start telling one himself about the time Kayla laughed at him at the hospital. Nick then passed the story off to Kayla.
According to Kayla, when they were at the hospital for Kayla's ultrasound of their child to see if it was a boy or a girl, their doctor (who was super smart and Nick possibly idolized) had difficulties because the baby wasn't turning the right way. Nick asked if he could just count the ribs. The doctor just looked at Nick and said no.
This misunderstanding is due to Nick assuming that since God created Eve from Adam's rib it would therefore mean that men have fewer ribs than women (even though the number of ribs either men or women had before or after the fact is unspecified in Scripture). Ribs also have the capacity to regenerate, but I digress.
In any case, the whole experience was "traumatizing" for Nick.
The bulk of the "trauma" likely came from the doctor they both held in high esteem. Nick hates being laughed at by women in general, but being made to feel insecure by a man he respected while being laughed at by his wife really got under his skin. Nick also seems petty enough to have this encounter (inflicted by his own biblical misconceptions) sour whatever beliefs he had regarding Scripture.
Nick may have looked silly to that doctor regarding his assumptions about human anatomy, but one imagines how the "super smart" doctor would react to Nick talking about self-medicating with cocaine to treat ADHD and learning that their baby (from a pregnancy he likely assisted with) later tested positive for such high amounts of cocaine as early as eight years old.

Like anything, people want to label and quantify things so they can understand them. The American health care system also makes a lot of money doing so as it's another to treat and manage.
Western cultures have more of a focus because they're more individualist. It's more of a focus than an obsession because it may not be more prevalent but the culture often allows it to be more noticeable.
George Carlin had an amazing bit on this back in the early 2000's where he addresses exactly this. He talks about the "self esteem movement" and how boomer parents made "everyone special." I feel like they gave the prosecution the opportunity to do that by charging Aaron.

When you watch this, it's a sad reminder of what Nick could have been . . . A successful YouTube lawyer would could have been the "male Lawtuber voice" many of these other channels went to for those legal interviews/podcasts. But no . . .

There are legal ways to be drugged up on all of the stimulants (coke) or depressants (ketamine) that he, Kayla, and April require. The court orders specifically allow for legal prescriptions.
This guy and his wife have been on a number of Rx's that they've bragged about in the past.
One that he's been on he's named atleast from what I remember is Provigil for narcolepsy. (A stimulant, and btw the side effects, how Nick's liver or heart hasn't exploded by now, I have no idea)

Provigil isn’t technically considered a traditional stimulant. Also one of the more common side effects is nasal congestion. Which when combined with Nick’s prolific cocaine use makes his faggy nasally voice sound even more nasally. Taking choline as a supplement can help with the headaches, but I doubt Nick would be that mindful when he could just drink more.
He has mentioned it on some occasions, but not very often. He said that he used to be on Ritalin "for a long time" for narcolepsy, because his insurance didn't want to pay for provigil. He was switched to Adderall after he drove to Texas and had "pulled" his forearms. He also talked about how he could hear his heartbeat on Ritalin and he has a family history of heart issues. First time he took Adderall, he passed out on his recliner while standing and holding one of his kids, so his doctor said he should not take it.
That is based on his stories from livestreams, so its a good idea to take it with a grain of salt.
Thanks for pointing that out. I dug around a bit more and noticed that on the Chrismas eve stream 2022 he mentions being "on the brink of murder" on Nuvigil, which he had for a week. After that, Dani talks about how she became psychopathic on Adderall.

They went after Aaron for revenge and because he's talking publicly and damaging Nick's image.
As for the idea of Aaron giving information for lower sentence, I don't think it matters. The cases are different counties with different prosecutors, so I guess both counties would have to agree on it and that's unlikely. Aaron's statements are only a small part of the warrant application in Nick's case. If the warrant holds up, the prosecution doesn't need Aaron: they found a lot of cocaine in Nick's possession. In the case against Aaron, the prosecutor does not seem like someone who would make a deal like this in revenge porn case (progressive, involved in women's rights, etc.).
tl;dr: Aaron's testimony is unnecessary if the warrant holds up and any deal would require two counties and two prosecutors to cooperate.

Genuinely surprised my request here made it out that far, but I think I got what I need. Mark you're a cool fella.
However, I will say as stupid as Nick is, I don't think he's dumb enough to try and pull another sober January lie. Keep in mind that was a time still long before the arrest, and even attempting to fabricate a sober month is an admission of a problem or wrongdoing. Post-arrest, he would sooner die before admitting to any kind of fault.
He's one of those alcoholics and junkies that you just can't help. The only ending is in a gutter or ditch. Only God can save him now, and I'm pretty sure that's like a Christian only thing, right? Well, when I look in his house, I don't see any.
It's so funny to see how the alcohol has convinced him that he is a libertine comedian-philosopher, daintily holding up his fancy little glass of expensive drink.
