"Mad at the Internet" - a/k/a My Psychotherapy Sessions

Nah, they said I was making them look bad and using what they taught "for evil" (I learned it on /b/)
That is hilarious and suggestive of the rot endemic to public schools at this point (maybe just florida). You should have been acknowledged (you are seen) for knowing something that your teachers didn't teach you, and then it (probably) should have been explained to you how this could be used irresponsibly, if that's how they wanted to guide you. At the very least, the fact that it was easily traced to your computer should have been emphasized, and the the reaction was totally overblown. Since dumbass kids today know nothing of opsec, I guess we know that isn't happening.

Still catching up on streams and am on the August 21st stream where Null was being interviewed by the FBI and informs them he makes no money and is questioned why he does it and it made me think of this clip.

Time stamp 0:27 Incase it doesn’t start there

Nice show.
Confirmed @SargonF00t sock account

I haven't been able to talk about this sooner, but i'm kinda dissapointed at the poor characterization of the Brazilian censorship situation by @Null on September 3rd.
This isn't about Musk vs some random judge in a third world shithole, it goes far deeper than that.
Its not the first situation null talks about without research or anything, just his opinions, i mean dude, you run a website, against your health and your own sanity that is all about archiving and discussion.
There's retards doing bullet point posts on this thread or A&N or wherever.
Look dude, you're busy as fuck, i'm not asking you to look up 58 hours of X or Y or Z, but you could do a 10 minute rundown before you start your stream, or ask people here.
I'm kinda disappointed in Brazil in general. You shit up my games for over a decade, then come to the forums to complain that an A&H article talked about Xitterman reacting to your stupid government. All iNTERNET should be immediately disconnected from the favelas and you worthless huemonkeys should hang from the inactive lines.

I did way worse stuff in highschool then net send. I discovered that the start up folder for other accounts was writable for every account, and would put in a shortcut to this website that would resize the window and bounce it around the screen while it played Rick Astley for specific people's accounts. Then I taught other people how to do it. Eventually on any given computer, there was a 50/50 shot of getting Rickrolled immediately when you logged in. The teachers decided this was a failing of IT, and locked down the startup folders, so we all started using live Linux USBs to do it. At some point someone made the connection that there was no way to determine the user if you weren't logging into Windows, and we switched to meat spinning. No one got in trouble until someone meat spun a teacher.

Meanwhile, a different kid got banned from using computers at all after they found "Dude Love" in his web browsing history. He tried to explain that it was a wrestler, and they didn't believe him. The teachers made jokes about him being a fag the rest of the year, while the rest of us learned to turn off the monitor before logging in so no one saw the gay sex auto playing on their computers before the alt f4 registered.

I blame Florida for Null's villain origin story.

Hello @Null, long time MATI listener, sometimes lurker here. I only made this account because i listened to the Episode from September 3rd.
And I´m asking you to stop mispronouncing German words.
The chs in Sachsen makes a KS sound. If you make more mistakes with my retarded language or want help, i am glad to sperg out more.

@CervixHammer posted a banger AI song about Jackie Singh and her accusing us of being paid Russian assets.

Since Jackie has exposed all of us as Russian spies, is time for hardbass. (The more authentic hardbass suno.ai gave me wasn't as catchy/amusing and I ran out of credits before I got around to extending it with the third verse)

Rewatching Fridays stream and I had a thought on the "algorithm is corporate speech" position and I'm left wondering that if you believe the latest happenings front page editorials are corporate speech, would that thought process also extend to highlights?

I don't think so, they're not tailored per-user and they're literally just posts that get a lot of reacts.

they are editorialized content and i literally say in this stream that i have to be careful what i write in them.

To play devils advocate, i assume there is an algorithm in calculating the "react" level of a post to determine if it is one worth highlighting. Would a post with 100 negative reactions amount to the same as one with 100 positive ones? And would that not be inherently editorial of that was not the case?
