One Piece - I'm Gonna Be the Pirate King!

The title of the most recent chapter was "What Constitutes as Death?" I suppose the inverse is true as well. What constitutes as life? Maybe the Gorosei are long past their natural lives. Maybe Imu didn't kill Saturn. Maybe Imu just stopped sustaining him.
I think that’s exactly what happened. Imu pushed stop on whatever he was doing. Aging 200 years in a second has got to be painful.

If that was the case, I don’t think Imu would make it so violent while bringing up how it was because Joy Boy escaped the Gorosei’s clutches.

It wasn’t that he escaped. It was that his Haki Blast that stopped them was with the robot. The robot that Saturn left hidden. In short, he’s mad that Saturn let Joy Boy stop them.

And again, Saturn tried to plead that he had no way to predict what was gonna happen. And I guess even Imu was taken by surprise even though Imu recognized the attack was thanks to Joy Boy. I’ll say it again: Joy Boy is the only thing that could make a blunder unforgivable to Imu. And that Joy Boy and Luffy are the same thing to Joy Boy and the Gorosei: an agent of chaos that has the end result of destroying what their respective enemies took ages to build.

Now the question becomes: what do the Gorosei know about Joy Boy specifically?

The message was delivered and Luffy escaped because of Saturn 's disobedience. Either happening was bad, both happening is catastrophic. Luffy is now under the protection of the strongest nation in the world. Uranus powered by the Eternal Mother Flame might be able to destroy Elbaf but it will take time to take it from Egghead and place it on the weapon. Not to mention that in order to take it from one place to the other, they have to cross a sea filled with Sea Kings and Pirate Emperors as well as up-and-coming pirate crews. The Human Human Fruit Model: Nika was lost to Shanks before he even was an Emperor. You never know whether the rando that boards your ship is a potential big shot or a just an average (by New World standards which is pretty strong) pirate. Blackbeard has the tendency to appear right when and where you want him the least. Just ask Law, Ace, Hancock, Magellan, Whitebeard and all the Marines in Marineford.

Except that the Lulusia blast was from the sky, and there’s nothing to suggest Imu can’t just move the damn thing from target to target like a satellite or a drone. Or a weather balloon. And it takes seconds if not minutes to fire. So I fail to see how that’s a problem. Also, it hasn’t been established yet that Uranus is the same thing that decimated Lulusia.

As for showing up, Blackbeard is just Luffy but…Chaotic Evil. Luffy is an agent of chaos, and Blackbeard moves to benefit from that chaos. But I still have to wonder if Luffy and Blackbeard are a new form of Joy Boy and Imu, with Blackbeard being more unhinged or Imu being Blackbeard if he achieved everything he ever wanted.

In regards to Elbaf, not sure about “protection” since that’s Shanks’ turf, so that could lead to the Luffy/Shanks showdown that’s been destined to happen since the first arc.

Given that Elbaf is Shank's Territory and a Powerful nation on it's own, Deleting it might be a terrible idea as it means you are effectively declaring War on Shanks and to win that you will have to tip your hand that the Elder Stars are Demons of some sort, Imu firing a weapon on and Island in Paradise which is World Government Territory is not quite firing on a Yonko Island.

Nuking a Yonko Island is probably a way to get Shanks, The Cross Guild, the Big Mom Remnants to all look your direction.

Then they better hope Luffy doesn’t drive them to even consider that option.

If they do cross that threshold they better fucking hit that shot, especially because we know they missed an assassination attempt with that weapon once already, It is a good weapon to wipe out an army with but I dunno if it is a good weapon to try and remove Luffy with.

Honestly if it is an airborne weapon, just sending it into Yonko Territory is risky, If Shanks gets lucky and Observation Hakis it..he might break your new toy.

I meant that the Mother Flame could be stolen during transport TO the Uranus. Unless the weapon itself goes to Egghead from the sky to receive the fuel.

Blackbeard is propably meant to be more like Xebec. We never know what he is planning but he will show himself where he feels he needs to be. He has plans and if the Mother Flame or something equaly valuable is near him, he will try to take it in order to further his goals. He is a great opportunist.

Nika is their god. They will protect him.

Getting rid of Nika might become their biggest priority once the Eternal Mother Flame is loaded on Uranus. Honestly, we do not know how that thing works. Getting rid of Elbaf, the mightiest nation that is antagonistic to them, might make Shanks angry but they were going to deal with him one day anyway. Might as well as destroy the only strong crew he has under him (apart from his own). Remember, they were willing to start war with Kaido just for a chance to kill Luffy. The Cross Guild will propably use the chaos to their advantage in order to slip their way past the other factions to get the One Piece (thanks to Buggy). Blackbeard will do his own thing to get there as well. And the Big Mom Remnants have bigger problems now that they lost their captain and one of their high ranking excecutives.

I haven't watched a new shonen in decades but recently (two months ago?) picked up the One Pace version of OP halfway through Arlong (which is where I left off, years ago) and am already up to Punk Hazard. I have to say, the animation quality is dog shit and I hate everyone going "waaahhhh?!" all the time, since Pace can't fix that. Sigh, I really wish they had a way to take more time but hey, at least I got through Fishman....

All I’m saying is Imu was more pissed about Joy Boy’s Haki and the robot making them fail than he was about Luffy escaping.

Speaking of Elbaf (I fucking hate that I cannot spell it without spelling Fable first), what is the over under on Loki being a cute girl (the marriage was more a Goku doesn’t understand marriage/ wanted to be friends with Lola) and being the designated girl who the entire arc revolves around?

Every arc has to have one, beyond Romance Dawn and Orange Town (although Chouchou is female) like every arc has had a female character that pushes the Straw Hats into action. Wano had like 7.

Considering Legend and Oda’s absolute want for jokes, it is very, very likely.

Especially when from everything suggested so far, Loki does not seem like a bad person.

Most people tend to be pissed when someone dead for centuries shits in their cereal again.
If that’s the case, Imu has no idea that Luffy is Joy Boy 2.0. And that there’s increasingly a chance that Imu’s relationship with Joy Boy was “relationship somebody has with Luffy, but evil”.

They have had a male character in that role intead before such as with Momonosuke.
