I can never figure out why they would want to STOP the Antichrist; doesn't he have to come to power and execute some form of world domination before Christ will return to earth?

They don't want to suffer under the Antichrist or maybe fear they won't survive until Jesus comes and the Antichrist will do some evil spell to steal their souls or make them reject Jesus and so they won't be saved.

Though let's face it, if Jesus is predestined to save you, it doesn't matter what the Antichrist can do, he shouldn't be a higher power than God himself.
