Really loved this collab got some first time collabs and JPs got to shine. The Lumi campfire story collab makes me want a horror movie watch party with Uruka and Lumi since they can't handle horror well. :story:

I thought it was a great opportunity to see collabs from talents I otherwise wouldn't really think to check out, such as Iori.

On the talent side of things, it's really great to see someone like Pippa collab more. Her character arc has really been developing.
Great to see weird combos like Shiina, Lumi, and Erina for something like handcams.

Niji in total: -16.9 % YoY in revenue, -32,8 % YoY in net profit
NijiEN: -50 % YoY in revenue (the -8 million yen in events is amusing)

The big issue is that they handled the omission of a beloved talent which basically made them look bad to the general public and for cover tribalists vindicated how they already felt about their favorite companies biggest competitor.

The end result is that you basically have these two sides coming together to form Kurosanji where regardless of what you do there's always going to be somebody trying to spin it into your disadvantage.

Now, the truth of the matter is that most Japanese companies including cover, act like that but they would never tell you that in public to maintain face and they force you to sign NDA so that things like this will never get out.

The issue is that as far as we know, the Bad Apples are talents themselves, and the last thing NijiEN clearly needs is to start firing their money makers in a situation where they have lost half of their revenue. If Niji had done something prior to the Selen incident maybe, but at this point I don't think they can without outright killing the branch.

As for Pippa, she doesn't like to do collabs. The only reason she took part in Phase Summer Camp is because Sakana told her to put her name on the list.

If you fire everyone that has been deemed bad by affiliation of the events surrounding the departure of Selen... Fuck it, let's fire everyone affiliated with Elira and "The Clique". NijiEN would be left with Aster and whoever the new people are. Reality is that you'd have go to the very start of the company and purge any nepotism hires. Nepohires constantly do damage in this industry space. Hololive learnt that quick with Sana. Phase has been lucky that it's nepohires are still civil with one another.

The three most public "bad apples" are the blackscreen crew, which includes an OG they still sell in most of their merch (Elira), THE goldenboy (Vox) and someone who still has pull thanks to his core audience not caring about Selen (Ike), at most they could change management, but livers are seemingly still profitable enough for them to not cut them off unless they do something "egregious" in public like Selen
Luca had been revealed to have delegated a large amount of his off screen work and vented about his issues with Niji with a random american woman who he gigachadded into being his vr-chat hoe even though he was underage, and Niji ended up C&Ding her

I doubt they will start trimming people, Selen was someone who already had issues with Niji and seemingly not a moneymaking content lapdog
