@Null this isn't necessarily for the stream, but since you like some true crime stuff, I thought I'd offer my personal favorite case. I heard about it on one of those cable channels at least a decade ago and it's never left me.


TL;DR

The interrogation feels like a YouTube sketch mocking interrogation videos at points, it always brings a smile to my face.

I'm not done with the Tuesday MATI yet, but just finished the part with the Dave Moscato sister-rape story, and had a disturbing realization. Cross-posting from Dave's thread:

He didn't just make that shit up out of nowhere. That is FIONA APPLE'S RAPE STORY! Fiona Apple, known mostly for the song Criminal, who Dave has had a fixation on for years, was raped outside her apartment when she was 12. The only detail he left out was her dog barking on the other side of the door during the rape. The rape is why she's been anorexic basically her entire adult life.

He's basically claiming Fiona Apple is his sister, or something. Fucking creepy and gross.

When she was 12, on the day before Thanksgiving, Fiona Apple was raped in the corridor outside her mother’s apartment. She had walked home from school, and she figures the man must have followed her. At her building she was looking for her keys and she saw this man buzzing the buzzer, then walking outside. It seemed suspicious, so she waited until he was outside again, then ran in. He caught the door behind her. But he didn’t do anything. Not yet. When she caught the elevator, she could hear him going up the stairs, stopping at each floor. That worried her.

There were three locks to open to get into the apartment. She was on the third lock when he started down the hallway toward her. Later she would remember, somewhere in her head, a weird, off-kilter thought: It’s Jimi Hendrix. Maybe she was trying to imagine she was off in some strange fantasyland. The man who was not Jimi Hendrix came closer. She said she didn’t have any money. He said he didn’t want money. He had some kind of screwdriver or tool knife, and he told her that if she screamed, he’d kill her. She remembers letting out a sigh, and her muscles falling.

On the other side of the door, Fiona’s dog was barking and growling. Maybe the dog saved her life. Otherwise, the two of them would have gone into her apartment, and . . . who knows?

When he had finished – maybe 10 minutes – he said something to her: “Happy Thanksgiving. Next time don’t let strangers in.” After he left, she opened the third lock and went into the apartment. Her sister and her mother were holiday-season shoe-shopping in midtown. She phoned for help, and waited. All this time she was paranoid that there was also someone in the house. She started checking all the closets. She would continue to check them for years.

Comicsgate autism for @Null

EVS didn't start Comicsgate. He was one of the first comic book pros that got involved with the "movement". He gradually took it over (through a lot of drama and backstabbing) and eventually trademarked it.

Since 2018 he has launched dozens of crowdfunding campaigns on Indiegogo, for merch, toys, old repackaged comics. The campaigns for new comics (that he would have to write & draw) are four.

Cyberfrog 1, Cyberfrog 2, Reignbow the Brute, Cyberfrog 3. Only Cyberfrog 1 & 2 have come out. CF2 was funded in 2020 and released last year. Reignbow the Brute was funded in 2021. He has yet to finish drawing it.

Reasons for the July feud:
  • Pre-ordering instead of crowdfunding
    July's books are finished before he does his pre-order campaigns. That means he releases his books a few months later instead of 3-4 years later. This makes CGers (and especially EVS) look bad.

  • Diminishing returns
    CG had some bad financial years in 2022/2023. It used to be that people would go on a stream, proclaim themselves Comicsgate and make 20k on their campaigns. But in 2023 a ton of CG campaigns from small creators were failing and even the top dogs were struggling to get to 6 figures, leading to internal friction and claims that Comicsgate is dying.

    EVS launched Cyberfrog 3 in early 2023, and while he still made a ton of money, he had lost a lot of momentum, backers and money compared to CF2. That was when he stopped coming to Kiwifarms. The July feud started in October 2023.

  • The Friday Night Tights bridge & drama content
    Friday Night Tights (FNT) is a very popular culture war/griftosphere youtube show. They often get celebrities and politicians as guests.
    EVS used to be friendly with the FNT crew until he called them "zeroes". He initially claimed he was high on stream, but later doubled down on burning the bridge and cutting himself off from a huge platform that could promote his shit.

    The channel that hosts the show (Nerdrotic) has blown up in recent years, while EVS's channel has remained stagnant and small.

    July is friendly with FNT and EVS hoped associating with him would give him access to FNT again, but July didn't help him restore that bridge, so the association didn't translate into more profits for EVS.

    Also, EVS streams almost every day for multiple hours. He constantly needs drama content for his streams, which also explains his pivot to sektur shit (and he thought he could leech a new audience off people like Masterson, he's retarded).

  • EVS's ego
    EVS had the highest-funded indie comic campaign before July broke his record with ISOM #1. He thought that if he couldn't have the title of indie comic top dog anymore, he would position himself as an advisory figure in July's business and initially advertised ISOM. July did employ several CGers for the creation of his books and even hired EVS for an ISOM #2 cover, but he would often ignore EVS's "advice", causing him massive narc injury.

Obviously EVS can't admit the above so he has to make it about everything else. Bad art, July being an SJW, July being a Russian asset, etc. FYI, 80% of CG books are dogshit, including EVS's (you can see them here & here).
Meanwhile, EVS sits in front of a webcam for hours making superchat money, he uses people's money from crowdfunders to make one book every 3 years and then sells his extra stock on ebay.

Doug TenNapel, while being a lolcow himself, is an amazing artist and ex-CGer that got backstabbed by EVS back in the early days of CG. EVS stood by his LGBT brethren and kicked Doug out for being an ungrateful homophobe.

Yeah, lately I've been doing Turkish coffee, which is little more than cowboy coffee with some ritual to it. And better beans tbh.

Cowboy coffee is just boil some water in a pan, throw some ground coffee into it, pour it in a cup, maybe flick some cool water on top to make the grounds sink. Great for innawoods.

Bitterness is the GOAT taste and anyone who doesn't like it sucks and is fatally deficient in Dark Triad traits.

If I put cream and sugar in it, it's either because it's for dessert or I'm covering up terrible coffee. And if I'm having an actual dessert, but with coffee also, the coffee absolutely must be black to contrast with the dessert.

They should leave that nigger alone, July didn't do anything wrong. He just writes his shitty comics and makes money, that's not immoral.

Agree, not my cup of tea and frankly strikes me as pretty mid, but the people who buy it seem to like it, and maybe just having some fucking sincerity is worth something in these days of shitty, fake, woke garbage nobody, not even the people making or buying it actually believe in.

Just let people enjoy things for a change.

Rogan had a guy on who is explaining how Google is evil and more specifically how they use their algorithm to push political ideologies and other ideologies (show kids porn).
Keep in mind that Joe has the tech knowledge of a baboon, but I found it interesting and it’s related to a lot of what Josh talks about.
