Part of the problem with debates is the lack of visual aids. It's impossible to prove/disprove your own points or your opponent's points without them.

Kamala kept using the same old catchphrases multiple times but because the median voter will just see the "highlight reel" they may not catch on that she was just using these same phrases multiple times to sound good in soundbites.
These include:
"We have more in common than that which divides us"
"I've only ever had 1 client, the people" (Used during her DNC speech as well)
and finally "We're not going back", which seems to be Harris's version of "Yes We can", she uses that at least 2-3 times per speech.

Worst thing is is that she came off as so fake and ungenuine with whatever she was saying.

The election at this point is just theater, this isn't even worth arguing about. Trump is never going to "drain the swamp" "build the wall" or protect America's pets from Haitians. He didn't do much during his first term and he came across as mental in this debate. His VP pick is terminally bad at being a public figure. Vance keeps saying vaguely racist things - which in itself? Okay. Me too. But he's married to a brown woman and has all these biracial kids, so it just makes him seem crazy and un-self-aware. I don't think they are electable at all: too much dissonance from within the campaign. They ARE a really weird pair.

Kamala is almost certainly going to win. She has no intention of doing any work. She didn't do anything as VP. Whoever ran things under Biden will presumably just pull levers for her, too. Everyone should be demanding to know who was actually running the country under Biden. Because that's who it will likely be moving forward.

It's because JD Vance is just a character some committee of rich oligarchs (like his backer Peter Thiel) created, like how they turned his fellow Yale graduate/Skull and Bones member Dubya Bush from a Connecticut WASP Yankee into a cowboy hick. Except Vance is a bad actor and the global elite don't know how to write an edgy MAGA populist so he just comes off as awkward.
