It's denial to "well, maybe pets should be be a good source of protein to combat climate change." I remember when they said the pride parade wasn't chanting "we are coming after children" and swept it to its reclaiming being a predator as a positive thing.

It doesn't even make sense. Cats eat high protein diets. Preferably meat. They compete for our own preferred food sources. Using them as food is inefficient and retarded and evil. Cows eat grass, which we can't eat, and turn it into high quality protein and fat that we can.
Cows upcycle. Cats and dogs don't.
Pets are more valuable as companion animals than food. Total Haitian death.

Denmark does not have legal power to stop them. The Danish king does not. Having become independent from Denmark they could if the USA invited them so, become part of the USA as its 50th state. People are generally tired of hearing about how much of a "meanie pants" Trump is. The only thing the questions from last night accomplish is appealing to the TDS base (which has hit its ceiling).

Agree based on what people have said to me about the debates. They don't care about January 6, Project 2025 or the name calling and they'd rather hear the candidates talk about the economy or the tax provisions that are set to expire next year - or any other current issue that affects people's daily lives.

Early voting is just as big of a problem as mail in ballots.

it really is this, its crazy seeing how the heads of movie studios in the 70s were all people in their 30s and now its all people in their 60s. same thing with management teams. it doesn't help that with healthcare costs being what they are you're heavily disincentivized from leaving the workplace before 65, and best case scenario they just move the older people into consulting positions. Its hard to get those high paying jobs when you're competing with older people who "love working!" and also every immigrant all over the globe.

Young Boomers better watch out. The second the overall cohort thins out enough to no longer be an overwhelming factor in elections, politics is going to immediately swerve into nothing but age and race resentment and the younger boomers/old gen-x will be smack in the middle of that particular Venn diagram.
There’s a bunch of people 55-65 who assume they can put off retirement another couple years and still convert all that juicy house equity and spend the next twenty years on a cruise ship collecting fat pensions just like the older half of their cohort. Seems wildly optimistic.

I'm actually entertaining the idea that Trump was right about Kamala the other night and that Joe Biden can't stand her, hates her and would fucking wear a MAGA speedo if it pissed her off.

I don't know what hold they have over Biden anymore. He's not able to handle a debate or his job anymore but I think with sufficient rest and his wife to keep nudging him along he's still generally aware of what they're doing to him - sidelining him in front of someone he was probably told he had to pick as VP. Lol! Cope. I was the one that said Greenland would have to become independent in order to sell itself. The argument was that it couldn't just sell itself without doing that first.

Although I guess they could hold an independence referendum and if "yes" wins then hold another referendum over whether to sell itself to the USA.
