I'm not sure why it would. They just canceled oral arguments and all they had to do was make a decision based on the papers. The judges on the panel don't even have to meet face to face to do that. If anything not having to deal with oral arguments would streamline the proceedings.I think the back and forth between them had picked up due to the COVID lull putting a halt to the appeals process.
It's not like a trial court where it gets really cumbersome and tricky to do things remotely with some shitty chinkware like Zoom.
