I would like to share my shower thoughts on the Man of Pig: his situation is so hilarious to observe because it's a unique and personal Hell of his own making. He wants two things; one is to be able to tell people his narrative and have them believe it at face value and perceive him the way he wants, and the other is to have a lot of people paying attention to him. When he was younger, thinner, and lived in obscurity, he was probably able to slip through the cracks by spouting his bullshit to people that either gave him the benefit of the doubt or politely humored him, but when he finally got his wish and got a lot of eyes on him, that comes with people looking into his background and trying to keep a timeline, so he can no longer get away with just saying whatever and being believed. People actually hold him accountable for lying now, he doesn't get the strangers' benefit of the doubt. He cannot accept that he can't have his cake and eat it too, because he is fat.

I assume he thinks that "child" is a devastating insult, otherwise why would he so proudly keep using it?

I think it falls into that subsection of online discourse/writing that's been dubbed 'millennial speak', where you can't say anything truly heinous (because you'd be canceled) so you come up with this middling, grade-school level insults like 'child.'

It's perfect for Patty because it hits the note of condescension that he aspires for and positions people mocking him as engaging in silly behavior.

But on the other hand, I'm genuinely baffled by his constant prison threats or denial of things that are matters of public record. Does he genuinely believe that if he repeats something enough times that it will become the truth? Or does he just spend every waking moment in such blind rage that he's incapable of rational thought? Probably a little of both to be honest.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but I think he was bullied as a kid and some form of 'don't let them know they're bothering you' lesson stuck with him and this is his attempt at showing, no, they aren't bothering him.

The constant refutation of everything is really the only thing he can do. Acknowledging it as true gives his detractors ammunition, makes him lose face, and gives him the only real 'out' for people pointing out the Man of Pig to people encountering his squeals for the first time.

If he insists it isn't true, it would follow that it was photoshopped or a fabrication. Most people encountering a feral hog in the wilds of Twitter aren't going to bother doing a deep dive on the veracity of court documents, etc. and if Patty comes off as composed, calm, rational, etc. then people will tend to give his rotund ass the benefit of the doubt. Even if he manages to flush all that goodwill down the trough because he's such a precocious little piglet. I kid on that last part. Patty is anything but little.

Of course, we're talking about a person who thinks that spending every day of his life for six years arguing with trolls was a good idea and that he'll eventually beat them, so it's probably best not to bother trying to understand his thought processes.

It's his whole mentality of being an 'intellectual.' I imagine he's posted revenge fantasies of the 'football jock who is working at McDonald's' or some variant of it. He has to have the last word, because he's Patty Pigman Tomlinson.

He's smart, calm, articulate and definitely not poorer than the children he abducts and murders, dumber than Jeff Leibowitz (sidenote: I really hope we have Zoologist Tomlinson come out and he gets to profess his expertise and knowledge on snake venom), or fat enough that he's getting dangerously close to a quadruple bypass every time he corrects the record on Twitter.

I don't even think it's that (I think Nikki could beat the living shit out of Rick, just like 90% of women over the age of 16 could) - it's just that in all Rick's life, women naturally avoid confrontation and much more quickly get to "fuck this, I'm gonna fold and run" for various reasons, so he's learned that picking fights with women works, picking fights with men does not.

I don't think documents and records of innumerable financial crimes of the elite ruling class would die with Rick so I'm not sure why the comparison, but the crushing danger is a primary one.
