When you're zeroing a rifle, you're adjusting it so the barrel very minutely angles upward, so the bullet travels a parabolic arc. In other words, it goes up before dropping down into the target area.

If Crooks had zeroed his rifle for 100 yards, (that is, the bullets will ascend before descending into the bullseye at 100 yards). I don't know my holdovers off the top of my head, but with a 100-yard zero, 5.56 bullets will generally be a few inches under your crosshair. This is pretty good for practical shooting, since if I'm aiming at your sternum but hit two inches low, that will still fuck you up. So if Crooks had zeroed for 100 yards, and had aimed at Trumps chest at ~150 yards, the bullet would've impacted +/- a few inches from where his crosshair was (ignoring the RNG accuracy of bullets). This would've fucked up Trump, since I don't think the armor he's undoubtedly wearing could adequately stop a rifle bullet, even 5.56.

However, with a 25-yard zero, the bullet would have weird holdovers, since ARs aren't primarily means for such (relatively) short ranges. As mentioned, the bullet will be nearly a foot off the mark at 150 yards, which is huge.

IIRC and @Club Sandwich knows more.

The marines use a 50m zero since it's point of aim is the same at 200m.

The army went with a 25m zero because it would land at 300m iirc.

And the original M16 was designed for meters so the whole yards things screws it up further.

Since some say that a 50 yard zero would also be the same as a 200 yard zero.

If Trump wins and it's a blowout, anything done by the opposition looks like sore loser shit.

My hope is that, in this scenario, cooler heads prevail. Remember that Kamala Harris has to certify the votes and I'm not certain she'll do it if Trump beats her.

Blacks, Indians, Most Asians, Illegas, and even the Ukies don't contribute anything, they feed off welfare, So if Whites stop being over productive compared to other races eventually the system will collapse in on itself.

I get this… because I think to myself, “Where are the pro-free speech protests, the protests against propaganda and riggery, corporatocracy, nepotism, political corruption, and totalitarianism?

It’s because the government and the fake news suppress these movements, smearing them as “radical” and “Nazi,” and doing everything they can to discredit its proponents. These are the only protestors who should deserve your respect, but you never hear about them of course. The only protests they give the spotlight are the ones against the societal boogeyman known as racism and ‘fascism.’

Like I said before, democrats are the fascists here because they use legal warfare to kick candidates off the ballot, almost like they want to control who you can vote. Meanwhile they just project and scream Project 2025 and that Trump will become a dictator. I’m voting Trump because I support free speech, and what we have now is controlled speech.

Today, it is controlled speech, tomorrow, it will be wrong think.

I’m not sure that America will exist in 2028. They are deliberately trying to assassinate a candidate now. The country is already not what it once was.

Two assassination attempts of a leading presidential candidate in the span of 2 months, both of which have questionable connections to the US government... this stuff keeps me up at night.

Even if - God forbid - Trump is assassinated by someone, do anti-Trump people seriously think the world will go on like nothing happened? Do they think Republicans and pro-Trump Independents will say "well shucks, he's dead, I guess I have to vote for Kamala now!" GOP delegates will select JD Vance as the candidate, the already-printed ballots could theoretically be used (since Vance's name is attached), and people will vote for him.

The entire Democratic party and its apparatchiks would celebrate the death of Trump, everyone would see them for the ghouls that they are, and they would tank their credibility. This is assuming there is no immediate violence following such a horrible scenario.
